uk_martin
Couldn't see a thread so here it is... And 6 hours later..."move along please, nothing to see here" If it hadn't have been for curfewgate at Kent, the other week, there wouldn't have been a thing said about the last few Brummies meetings at all. Not much interest going on.

Brummie Kev
And he wonders why no-one posts! If & when they do stupid/negative (generally) comments are made. People should post though because if they don't a bully boy like UK Martin wins. Just put the idiot on ignore like I do so we dont see the negative drivel he puts about the club he once loved. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Firstly would like to wish Connor Mountain all the very best, it was a nasty crash and a crash that ive seen at Perry Barr sadly before. He went quite wide going into the third bend and the unfortunately then lifted and ploughed into the main straight fence. The county ambulance that came took an age to leave so I was hopeful it wasn't a bad one but he has a broken bone in his back. The second crash which was just as bad looking was heat 14 when Alfie Bowtell collected both Jack Smith and Darryl Ritchings in the first bend which also saw an air fence panel destroyed. Thankfully the riders got up quick and were okay as it looked a bad one. As 60-30 meetings go, I would say that has to be one of the better ones. A decent nights racing, Mildenhall did better then the score suggests. Connor Coles and Dan Halsey were the standouts but they all gave it everything after they lost mountain. Really good from the Brummies and yet again Tom Bacon proving how improved a rider he is. I had a brief look in the Brummies programme earlier but I think hes scored about 60 points in about 6 meetings. Hes averaging 10 at the minute and how long will it be before he gets a deserved PL call up. Edited July 28, 2016 by Brummie Kev
pete cc
We saw the same kind of crash a few times last season. Cutting bend 4 lifting into the fence, missing any air fence & scattering start line crew.Maybe the shape coming out of the corners need looking at? brianbuck
Last night's meeting was definitely nothing like the one-sided event that the score suggests. Mildenhall still made a match of it despite their misfortune in losing their best rider in his opening ride, but they could not overcome having two complete passengers in Widman and Ruddick. Armstrong had a poor night and although there was plenty of effort from Bowtell, he still wasn't able to beat an opponent. Connor Coles was very impressive and Dan Halsey was unlucky to lose points through an engine failure. Connor Mountain's crash was a bad one and I hope his injuries are not as serious as they initially appeared to be. I don't think there was a problem with the track shape as has been suggested - he just seem to pick up a terrific burst of speed in the middle of the bend and it was pretty clear to those of us on the centre green that he wasn't going to make it all the way round. Overall, the Brummies were the better team and deserved to win, but had the Tigers been at full strength, the score would probably have been much closer.
