Anybody have knowledge of the Eagles team on Sunday?

Tom Brennan will be in Leicester for the British Youth Championships.

From what was said a few weeks back Gary Cottham should be back and Charley Powell was I believe due to Grass Track last weekend.

Mildenhall have been rather poor on their last three visits so it is possible that Strudwick may be given an outing.

Also wonder what the plans are for Tom. He can do one more league match without spoiling his 3.0 average but which one ( Kent away?)

I understand Cup and Play-offs don't count towards averages so there are potentially another 9 matches which would be available for him.

After raising the money for Gary's bike I think a few of us on the terraces are starting to wonder what's happened to Gary. Obviously want him to have a full recovery before returning but maybe if he's not back this week an update on his progress would be good? Adam is available as is perks. Expect Harris and Powell at reserve

As Tom's first match was a 0 and didn't complete his programmed rides does that have any bearing? Edited by gazzac

How is Gary anyone know as i dont see any reason to show off his new bike until he is going to ride i. But a few photos on the internet would be nice to see whats going on with it and how upto date it is.

But i guess Gary is not fit for Mildenhall

Driving down from the world cup to catch this one, is it still a 3.30 start ? (Originally advertised as 7.30pm?)

3:30pm yes hope they don't hang about like last season

Im a bit out with when the averages apply? Is it not 4 home 4 away anymore? Thought that was Danny Ayres has stayed low(er) and how Zach Waj was at reserve for long last season?

If thats the case just run Tom at home as much as you want and make him unavailable for the away meetings? You can use any reason to be unavailable e.g he isn't old enough to drive so can't get to X for example

This was debated early in the season and apparently the rules were changed this year to become first 4 League Matches regardless of Venue, allegedly to stop 3.0 riders staying at reserve for a long time when their effective averages were ballooning. (Zach was the obvious case). The big mistake as I said at the time was applying the new rule to all riders even when they already had a GSA and as a result Luke Chessell went from a5+ 10.00 after 4 matches. It left the door open to manipulation. Hope the.y change it next year to apply to 3.0 reserves only.

we have our old friend Kyle Hughes coming back with Mildenhall on Sunday... No doubt he will get a good reception from the home crowd certainly gives Knight some work to do! That's unless he has to wait a week like Adam Ellis did which would make our job easier

Is there anyone going to this meeting who would be able to text updates to the Updates site? If so, could you please send me a private message which includes your mobile number.

Thanks

If Luke scores like that regularly then Eastbourne become a whole different beast. Since his debut for Kent he has always had the ability, he just seemed to lack total belief. 2 or 3 weeks like this and I think it could snowball and he will start to fill his massive potential. Couldn't happen to a nicer lad either.

Luke had so much more speed than past weeks also. He was mixing it in all of his heats and is controlled on the bike. The only negative for this great showing would be he will move up into the main body of the team and cottham ( wherever he is) would be at reserve and if he is still out injured when this happens we can only use 3 pointers which would even out Luke's very good form.

Harris won't get a new average until Sept though and Cottham should be back by then.
