The Cheese
What a farce this is turning out to be Hopefully you have some better news soon, would be awful to lose Coventry
Woz01
Mick Horton not being truefull to the fans again. Mick is never going to repair the damage out of his own pocket. Mick is one of the main reasons why we have a watered down league next season. Cost cutting and so on. He didn't say he was. He says he's assessing the damage. orion
Yet again Horton caught telling fibs .as he has done over many years ..he is the one to blame here .
LisaColette
How do Poole manage without seats?I said seating, Poole have a stand where you can 'sit' therefore it's still seating
naffer
All the seats have gone now like our chances of running next year RIP Coventry bees.
LisaColette
I think given the choice I would rather have Sandhu than Horton in charge.
Jacques
So are people saying Mick Horton signed a team, with no intention of racing next year. Seriously? There's more to this than we're being told. What a sad indictment on them both! Yet another year of total torment for us fans and now riders. I don't know how they sleep at night.
hyabb17
If this is the end of Coventry speedway then my sympathy's are with the loyal fans.

Woz01
Why would Horto go to all that trouble to go to many meetings using many hours to get a lease then not use it. He could've just walked away after Sandhu's lease finished, it wouldve been far easier. Makes zero sense. There is only one action that's going to definitely stop both Speedway and Stox running next season and that's removing what's needed to run. philfromcov
sorry why is this Hortons fault? lets get back to basics who wants to knock the stadium down and always has why Mr Sandhu! its his fault and no one elses just using this as an excuse to do the dirty work
Daniel Smith
Never trust a Horton & Sandhu gets his housing wish Another question, how much sponsorship has Coventry mopped up for 2017? The whole situation absolutely stinks Extremely sorry to all the Bees supporters

Both certainly have acted like children. I just cannot believe Horton would go to all that trouble and not use the lease when he could've just walked away anyway after the original lease finished.
naffer
Read the last paragraph from the Coventry stox press release if that's right ,he had no intention of running in 2017,which all seems weird when he has signed the whole team so they are all screwed over as well. SCB
Even though I wouldn't expect much from Sandhu, given his history, I didn't quite expect him to deliver such a kick in the teeth to the Coventry Speedway fans, many of whom showed him a great deal of deference and respect and were even prepared to give him the benefit of what must have been some considerable doubt! I really hope there is a way through as I know many good people at Coventry who support and help the club tirelessly and they deserve so much more than they are getting at the moment! Im one of them mugs. Defending him so often. I got that one wrong. While I believe all those involved in the winter of 2010/11 played a big part in this, it's ultimately Sandhu who has killed the club. I'm sure he sold to Horton knowing his track record in the hope he would kill the club and he (Sandhu) wouldn't look like the bad guy but that failed so he's had to stick the knife in himself. Im sure Hortons not totally innocent in all this but Sandhu, if he cared about the club and the fans as he's claimed in the past could do more to help keep the club alive right now

That's if Sandhu really wants the sports to run. Edited November 29, 2016 by woz01
Midland Red
Makes me think Bomber got wind of this some time ago - allowing him to plan for 2017 in peace
Jacques
The Coventry telegraph reports that Sandhu is prepared to put all the fixtures and fittings back. What is the reason behind these actions though. Is the suggestion that the price offered for them was only £1, the reason? More posturing from Sandhu again?
