Coventry 2017

Recommended Posts

Of others likely to be in the 2017 Premiership.... Craig Cook has a brilliant heat 15 record, fair play! KK as I mentioned above has a 10 point heat 15 average. Hougaard is very good too. But then you're looking at Josh Grajczonek, Max Fricke, Robert Lambert and Kim Nilsson.

Any chance you could post the full list of heat 15 averages from this season? I'd definitely be interested to see those.

Lasse Bjerre is a very good rider not quite as good as his brother

That's debatable.

Kenny rely on his gating and is as good as any at that aspect of his game.

Lasse is a racer, loves a wheel to wheel challenge and doesn't often bailout.

I'd say overall, Lasse is the better rider just not up to scratch at his gating plus he's still only 23.

Kenneth has GP experience. Was inches/seconds away from being a GP rider. At age 24 he had qualified for the GPs full time having already ridden a handful of them. Lasse, with all due respect isn't ever going to be a GP rider, certainly isn't going to win the GP challenge in 2017 as Kenneth did in 2008.

Formatting sucks but you get a good idea. Also more accurate than some of the figures I suggested above, managed to mess up my query last time.

If I were Coventry I wouldn't take Sarjeant again. Tapes exclusions bore me.

The thing that shot out for me in SCB's stats on heat 15 was that Kasprzak rode allot less in heat 15 than most riders of his perceived standard in Holder, Lindgren, Doyle, Jonsson & Iversen. I think that says allot. Same can be said of Zagar.

It proves even with inflated averages, strong teams can be made. Poole have formed a very competitive team and our strongly rumoured team would be eaten alive.

Imagine likely teams:

Kaspazak, J Holder, Kurtz, Newman, Andersen, Klindt, Shanes

AGAINST

King, Kerr, Garrity, L Bjerre, K Bjerre, Bates, Sarjeant

Would be a repeat of last year with not enough heat leaders and too many reserve like riders. Sarjeant was dreadful away from home and scored a lot of 0s. With this format he would strengthen us and Kerr definitely wouldn't in the top 5. We need a good top 5 so Bates stays at reserve

I see another year of struggle with our rumoured side. Where are the heat winners coming from? Away from home we'll be on the end of some serious tonkings!

E'bourne used to be terrible away from home. Yet at home they were nigh on unbeatable and used to regularly qualify or threaten the play off places.

Get a team that is good at home and you'll also keep the crowd numbers up.

And Danny King was the worst of the regular heat 15 riders! And will be in heat 13 too next season!

Why don't you wait until the team is announced before you start moaning.yesterday everybody was possative now because Poole have announced Kk which we know would happen you are all moaning

I have no idea why people just assume the rumoured team is the actual team, especially as it was posted by people om social media fishing for bites. Even the last team I put up had the 4 riders that are signed, it wasn't rocket science they'd be at the club. It might turn out to be the team but I highly doubt it.

The team I heard a couple of weeks ago would bring me back to Brandon after a year out if it happens. But I wouldn't put it on here because it might not happen
