g13webb
When reading reports of the Coventry signings of King and Bjerre, I was quietly disappointed.. I had a feeling King would be at Brandon, was never took in by all the rumors of him at Lynn, mostly because of the possibility of clashes with Ipswich matches. I feel King is capable of better things in 17, but on his high average he needs to be consistent. To me KB has always been a capable rider. He may never be a Holder, a Doyle or a NKI. but an electric gater on fast bikes, who can win any race, even when the chips are down. Ridiculously smooth when in front and a joy to watch. Yes he may have a problem with close contact with certain riders, but who can blame him, given the number of times he's been taken out resulting in bad injuries... No, if giving a injury free period, and his confidence high, KB can easily be a match winner... I was disappointed in that, I thought he would have been high on Busters list of possibles..... If I had to choose between Batch or Bjerre it would be Kenneth everytime. Our loss is the Bee's gain.

Agree but I think it'll be Bjerre's lack of interest in riding for King's Lynn rather than King's Lynn not interested in him. He got a hell of a lot of abuse in his last season with us and he let it be known that it affected him. We'll never see him in Stars colours again I believe. Woz01
I'd say Jim Lynch being Bees manager was a factor in Bjerre joining Coventry.
Woz01
It Wasn't, King fair enough, Bjerre well from what I remember he's never set the world alight at brandon, He's a gater but if he doesn't make the gate I don't remember to much passing of decent riders from him on most tracks I've seen him. From what I've seen particularly over last few seasons is him looking down at the bike as though it the machines fault.!! coupled with what has seemed a total disinterest in other races. Sorry I don't see it as a huge positive. I also think all the injuries have taken their toll particularly regarding his mental attitude to the sport. Yet he was run off away from being a GP rider in 2017.
Haza
The only question I ask with Rory is how have the serious injuries he's had in recent times affected his approach to racing. They were real bad ones and the question has to be asked how he will respond in coming back from them. I'm never going to criticise Rory because he was a breath away from being in a wheel chair after the Polish crash in 2015 all I'm going to say as far as I no he still has metal work in his back and last season it was always a worry if and when he came off and he did but thankfully it wasn't his back he damaged - Rory was very uncomfortable on the bike I thought and you can't blame him for that maybe Championship speedway getting some confidence back he will do a good job in both leagues but for me last season at Lynn he was always a worry. mdmc82
Fricke King Bjerre Garrity Bates What does that leave for the last 2? The way it says on the website about Bjerre challenging King for the number 1 spot, I don't think we will see any riders above Danny's average which rules out Kaspazak and Fricke

Col
I remember going to a SWC at Brandon where team GB and the other opponents were fairly useless, but Bjerre was sensational passed loads of folks. It was probably 7-8 years ago. Bjerre well from what I remember he's never set the world alight at brandon, He's a gater but if he doesn't make the gate I don't remember to much passing of decent riders from him on most tracks I've seen him. He not likely to say King, Bjerre and Fricke (for example) will challenge for the number one spot when no other signings have been announced as of yet. Cupidstunt
Bjerre is quality and i think he will show this at Coventry and if his brother is there also this surely has to be good for both of them My concern would be Garrity who will have to be a heat leader and Sarj who maybe will be in the main body of the team, both seem to have big averages and is a scary thought. No way is garret a good enough heat leader compared to Rye Houses
