Dave Jones
Has starman hacked into your account ? I don't think that's the case. It's a common trait in several of the Poole based posters, I think it could be something in the water.
Steve Shovlar
What a terrible shame this thread is full of people who want to see the complete demise of Coventry speedway. I hope that there are enough proper Coventry fans out there who will support their club at Leicester. And shame on those that want to see it fail.

So rather than discuss why you want your club to fold for good you would rather embarrass yourself with pathetic remarks. Sums you up nicely. Midland Red
Seems to me reading this that Coventry speedways time is completely up. Even the fans on here seem to want the team to fail. The shoveller is shovelling again Hope one day he falls into the pile he's shovelled Can't see many helping him to escape
kingbee
The Buccaneers had support but not enough to cover stadium and admin costs.which is what happen to the storm so how is it viable all of a sudden at Leicester 29 miles away unless someone is backing it?
Steve Shovlar
which is what happen to the storm so how is it viable all of a sudden at Leicester 29 miles away unless someone is backing it? I am guessing the reason why the Coventry cubs team wasn’t viable, was because the speedway fans in the area spent their money on watching the first team. The same as Poole. But now without a first team, Coventry fans can support their only team, regardless of what division its in. They are riding just a few miles up the road in Leicester. Not more than 30 minutes drive. It takes longer than that to get from one end of Bournemouth to Poole stadium in the summer! And its on a Sunday afternoon, so no worry about late nights and kids to school. Sure everyone wants speedway at Brandon but surely you would want a team to support while the issues with Brandon Estates are being sorted out? Or would Coventry fans prefer to have no club whatsoever, like Oxford? Watching the stadium slowly fall apart as the owners wait and wait and wait for the council to finally back down so they can build houses?

Popular Post Dave Jones
Well you don’t seem to have the intelligence to say anything else. So carry on repeating. Right I will try and make it simple. Horton has announced his intention to run National league speedway at leicester. His latest press release might as well have been written by Brandon Estates. as it was word for word what they have been saying about stadium viability for months. Some fans expressed concern why Horton should suddenly change his stance having previously stated he was in discussion with the council over a new site , also he told us he had backing to to finance it. ( Is it starting to smell fishy yet). Obviously there is a lot of concern amongst fans that Horton's only interest in this is Mick Horton and his own pocket. Many fans have taken to social network to vent their feelings and a local newspaper put up a poll yesterday to test the water. Last time I looked 80% of the voters stated they wouldn't attend Leicester, that is a strong sense of feeling in my opinion and I would suggest that you are out of order in suggesting that the fans want to see the bees disappear . Every bees fan is entitled to their own opinion and at the end of the day they will vote with their feet. I don't necessarily subscribe to your view that fans must attend to support the clubs existence as I feel this particular move by Horton would only be a short term thing and won't guarantee anything for the future. We are also very aware of the fact that there are plenty of other people working very very hard to secure a future for both speedway and stox who many fans will believe offer them a better option than Horton. In conclusion I would suggest you tone down your Bolshie posts and stop telling the bees supporters how it is. We already know.

Simple question if it was viable & a money maker don't you think the combined Promotions of Leicester / Sheffield would have decided to run a National League team themselves ? Steve Shovlar
Simple question if it was viable & a money maker don't you think the combined Promotions of Leicester / Sheffield would have decided to run a National League team themselves ? No. It dorsn’t work when there is already another team from the same club, as the bigger team will always attract the crowd. Football shows this exactly. 60,000 for Arsenal first team. Reserves. 800. And thats often with star names playing. Coventry have now one team in the NL. So why not support them? If you don’t like Horton fair enough but he is the only person willing to put out a team and the only person with the license to do so. He is club owner, like it or not. People might be trying to work on getting a new stadium/return to Brandon, but if this doesn’t involve Horton they have no rights whatsoever and would have to buy the club off Horton if they wanted to proceed. Do they have the money to do this? It would be exactly the same as me waking up tomorrow and saying I don’t like the way Coventry is run and attempting to undermine the current promoter. A waste of time unless he sells his license to me. And the only person Horton is thinking about is Horton. But isn’t that true in every walk of life? And at least he has made the effort to run Coventry in 2018. If fans don’t bother at least he can say he tried. And if anyone else wants a go afterwards they can contact him to buy the club.
