noggin
It is stadia uk who are in the frame for the redevelopment of the area around the Poole track, the same people who have been delaying any work on the new stadium at Swindon and have not built what they initially stated for other sports sites. The problem you get with new homes is the chance of the anti-noise brigade.
Woz01
Just read David Rowe latest tweet, Brandon Estates new security measure is..... dumping shale at the entrances. The council won't approve of that!
Midland Red
The Save Coventry Campaign Group would like to invite all supporters and local residents to a meeting on Monday October 9. This meeting will take place in association with the NSSC at the Brandon Club, starting at 8pm. The purpose of the meeting is to update everyone on the latest position in the efforts to bring speedway and stock car racing back to Coventry, as we approach one year since Brandon last staged racing. There have been several developments over recent months, not all of which have been accurately reported, and we will be looking to set the record straight on a number of issues and hopefully give supporters a clearer understanding of the current position. All speedway and stock car supporters, and local residents concerned by the possibility of housing, are more than welcome to attend. Venue: Brandon Club, Main Street, Brandon, Coventry CV8 3HW

Gemini
According to someone on Facebook Mick Horton has put all the Coventry assets up for sale. That little snippet might have come from the meeting.
Sir Jasper
Why anyone would buy them is beyond me, go straight to the rider, agree a deal with him, refuse to buy, pay the loan fee

Woz01
Has he got any rider worth selling Harris/Nicolls in the twilight of there careers Garrity not performing and the rest journeyman Barker/Hancock Pawlicki etc not rode for us for a long while Cant see why any promoter would buy our assets for a variety of reasons. The biggest asset Horton owns is the name Coventry Bees but even then it won't be worth much if we don't run next year.
A ORLOV
This again brings up this "asset" issue. When is a good young rider going to refuse to sign a contract where this "asset" rubbish is in it. If the club really wants him, or all riders refuse to sign up to these contracts, then this whole issue will stop. It is fair that a club pays a club who has bought on and trained a rider but at a certain level they are not "assets".

Brummie Kev
Good to see so many Bees fans at Perry Barr tonight for what I thought was a good meeting. Its a disgrace whats happened at Brandon and I hope the situation can be resolved whether that be at Brandon or one day in a new stadium in the Coventry area.

Dont trust anyone involved in this situation. Lies from all sides have been said and things have been suitably changed to get us in the position we are in. A ORLOV
Other than the riders do the assets include any trophies the club hold? If Horton went to the bank and stated that certain riders were assets they would laugh at him.
Gemini
Other than the riders do the assets include any trophies the club hold? They've probably already been sold on EBay. In fact the 2010 trophy fetched a brilliant price as my source has told me Matt bought that one as he was determined to get his hands on it somehow.

Even though we knew it was coming just seeing it makes me very sad. This place has been part of my life since the age of 4, I'm now 35.
