Horton will have three years but when Sandhu owns the new stadium Horton will be gone.

Agree. You'd think Sandhu would want both stox and speedway to be successful at a new stadium, would mean more money coming in for him and of course the initial outlay won't be cheap. He'd probably employ someone to be promoter like he does with Heaver at the Stox. If a new stadium ever happens of course!

Well with Avtar Sandhu agreeing to put back enough of the kit required to hold speedway meetings I doubt this will include seating in the main stand. The consequence of this will be reduced gates on an already dwindling Friday night crowd. Coupled with severely weakened teams. MH is forever warning the supporters that existing crowds are barely viable. I wouldn't be surprised if this is the last season

why would you want to sit in the stands with you knees under your chin get on the terraces and move about a bit. You could bring a cushion and sit on the concrete where the seats were

I don't I always stand on the back straight as I have done for nearly forty years. The point is of those that occupy the stands how many will come down to the terraces especially when it's cold or wet ? . For speedway to be viable at Brandon we need more paying fans. This will have the opposite effect

It would be beneficial for Sandhu to put the seats back in as Stox get packed crowds at Brandon as it is. No doubt it'll cost him if reports are true that nost were damaged while being removed.

Surely he will be getting on for 80 in three years time as I think he's about the same age as me?

Depends how fit he is of course. I'm not.

I think it's more to do with brain cells, than fitness. As we know the current promotion have about two between them.

Why are people obsessing about the seats? They were only a bit of plastic bolted into the concrete, the concrete is still there for people to sit on!

A post like that clearly tells me your under forty rather than over forty.

As if people can't get value for money for the quality speedway as it is, I can imagine an 85 year old squatting on the concrete shouting at some 6ft 8in 30 year old to stop standing in front of him to try to see the speedway.

With the leg room that those seats provided, anyone 6ft 8in tall would not be able to sit

Consider this.

In 2020 we have a new stadium. Throughout the previous two years, we the fans, have been formed into work groups in order to get us to position where racing can take place.

What would you accept as the minimum standard of facilities?

A track.

A safety fence.

An air fence.

An enclosed space i.e. fencing

Floodlights. Well maybe not in the first instance. We could run on a Sunday afternoon for example.

Toilets

A PA system (despite not having one worth it's name for some years).

A stand. Can we really go that far on day one?

Seats. Well now you're really expecting too much.

You might see where I'm going with this...

How does a plastic seat make someone tall sit down? The seats are literally plastic bolted on the concrete, ok they give you a back rest but I'm sure people will cope without them. They manage at numerous other tracks.

Flood lights and fences are far bigger issues.

Oh my days, did you really just write this?

He did and he's right when there are seats in there then there is not a lot of room.

You didn't really answer my question.

I agree seating isn't that necessary as grass banks seem to be favourable especially across the continent.

However it is like sitting on the bus and not giving the disabled person a chair, getting an elderly person to sit on a concrete base.

Anyone else got a heart on here or just me. I won't complain as used to this from the youth of today etc etc.
