orion
So are people saying Mick Horton signed a team, with no intention of racing next year. Seriously? There's more to this than we're being told. What a sad indictment on them both! Yet another year of total torment for us fans and now riders. I don't know how they sleep at night. Of course he was ..but it's quite clear he was knew what was going on and what might happen ...he then choose to put out a press statement today that was a pack of lies as has done many times in the past ...I am sure when more is known it's odd on that Horton will be at fault as he always is .
foamfence
The Coventry telegraph reports that Sandhu is prepared to put allike the fixtures and fittings back. What is the reason behind these actions though. Is the suggestion that the price offered for them was only £1, the reason? More posturing from Sandhu again? I'd be very surprised if he did, imagine the cost and time involved.
naffer
How sad and Sandhu still holds the Bees with great affection according to Horton . They must both be on 2facebook.
stevebrum
sorry why is this Hortons fault? lets get back to basics who wants to knock the stadium down and always has why Mr Sandhu! its his fault and no one elses just using this as an excuse to do the dirty work Exactly. Sandhu is the one who made all the promises but is now trying to ensure the Bees don't run. What a hero. Can't say Horton will come out of this with much credit either. What seems clear is that each party is trying to blame each other and none have a care about the team, the club or the fans.
proud panther
Will the Coventry team move up the road to Leicester, because apart from a few rumours, they havent signed anyone yet. Desperately sorry for the brilliant Coventry fans if this proves to be the end of the Bees.
philfromcov
no, because that will mean there is no local need for a stadium and it will be pulled down....
Popular Post Dave Jones
The bottom line here is , 1 Sandhu's has to be out of the stadium by tomorrow 30th. 2 In order to run his stocks he needs an agreement with Horton. 3 In order for Horton to run the speedway he needs an agreement with Sandhu for the use of fixtures and fittings. 4 Intense negotiation has been taking place and Horton knew the deadlines. 5 No agreement was forthcoming so Sandhu has cleared his property out. 6 No right minded person would deal with the situation any other way. IMO.
Game On
Makes me think Bomber got wind of this some time ago - allowing him to plan for 2017 in peace That was my thinking too

Woz01
Just wondering Dave ...why does he need an agreement with Horton...Jeremy Heaver is the stock car promoter ?Heaver is promoter but the stox contract is with Sandhu's company. Heaver basically works for Sandhu. Going by Bjerre and Kerr tweets the Coventry Stox statement seems incorrect when it says riders have been told the can look elsewhere. Yet anyway! Trees
All I can think of, is how Nigel Boocock's family must be feeling...knowing his Ashes are being dug up and sold on at £28 per tonne. 56K to be made from selling that shale. So sad.....OMG yes, how awful 😕
HertsRacer
Out of interest have the local council who seemed to play a major role in getting the lease on the stadium extended made any comment about whats going on? Are they in a position to help? Really hope everything turns out ok for the fans.
MFE
Whatever the rights and wrongs of this situation, the bottom line is that the reputation of Speedway and Coventry in particular are at rock bottom. We stagger from one disaster to the next, and nobody has the acumen to resolve this once and for all. I happen to think that Hortons intentions are genuine, however it appears he struggles to back these up due to limited finances, Sandu since his ruck with the BSPA has clearly lost all feelings for the Bees, and must feel he is dealing with Delboy when trying to negotiate with MH. In my eyes the mistake was giving the lease to MH, it would have been better with Jeremy Heaver or an Independent party. Not sure where we go from here (probably Leicester) I hope not, but it would seem to be a major undertaking to replace all the Fixtures and Fittings, such a sad and undignified possible end to the reign of the Coventry Bees, the fans deserve so much better, than all the clowns involved at the moment. B.V 72
Its hard being a B/vue fan at the momment but there is so much b/s and differing statements flying around at Coventry it must be driving the loyal bees fans mad.I just hope that one way or the other a final outcome arrives soon.Truly gutted for you all i really hope that there is a good outcome for you all the very best of luck.
MFE
Having just read the Coventry Stox press release, it puts a severe question mark, against my belief the MH has good intentions, if true he has withdrawn from the agreement for the stadium, and the riders have an open invitation to find other employment - Idiots the lot of them. Falcon Hammer
Seems like Horton has been delaying negotiations on a price for fixtures & fittings, trying to call Sandhus bluff. Reckon he expected nothing would be removed by the time he got the lease ☹️
Woz01
Rumours were around a while ago that Sandhu is actually part of Brandon Estates, the site owners. In effect he sold it to himself. Wonder if there is any truth in it. I didn't believe this but I have to wonder. Col
Shocking photos, looks like the stadium owners are cutting off their nose to spite their face.
