Woz01
Well if he does ride for Poole he won't have to worry about a D+D because I don't think Poole have bothered with one for last couple of years! Really? I hear Kings Lynn are the same. Considering Bombers excuse was that others would miss it too AND others clubs don't have the same policy just shows how immature and unnecessary is actions are. Some don't even bother to have one! As most people know I'm a huge bomber fan but this is just awful/immature/unnecessary

The last one they held was drinks and dancing (no meal).

MFE
Got the hump didn't he because he had to pay for his other half. Don't think I agree with this criticism of Harris, if I had left a company the last thing you want to do us socialise with them, especially when us fans do not know the real reason he feels he has to leave, he has been a top servant for the Bees, and I agree with him that it would have been the right thing to do for Coventry Speedway to invite him and his Partner, if only as a thank you! Poor form Coventry.

TrueBee
The irony is I was going to go to his testimonial until I found out I had to pay for my partner, I was livid! Such a hypocrite.
SCB
TBF to Bomber, I see his point. Whenever I go out for a meal or something with work we're always welcome to bring a plus one.
Agrotron
Bombers better away from that shower of brown stuff they call Coventry Speedway anyway.
Dornier
Personally think Bomber has let himself down by not going to the end of season do, if Bomber had any grievances with the management that's fair enough BUT the end of season do`s are for the fans to get a glimpse of their favourite riders and see the presentations etc, Perhaps he did an Hans Andersen because he wasn`t voted rider of the year. these do`s are nothing to do with behind the scenes arguments that they may have had with the management team, I didn`t go myself but the price and terms of the do seemed pretty fair to me. He should have gone not only did he let the fans down he also let his fellow team mates down

Dave Jones
During my working life I attended many functions and conventions both with and on behalf of my employers. My wife was always included , and never once was I asked to pay for her to attend. But then again I've never worked for Mick Horton.
Woz01
I was invited to a works awards night for long service but I had to pay for my partner for her to attend. The company I work for earn millions per year in the UK alone. Even the Christmas party this year I have to pay for myself if I wanted to go, incidentally at the same place as the Dinner and dance was. Woz01
Horton needs all the money he can get! Horton wouldn't have made any money from it in fact I know it's £50 per person for these nights at the Holiday Inn.
