B.V 72
I know a lot of Coventry fans wanted Havvy to go but looking at it from the outside, it doesn't look good for Coventry when people like Havvy and Harris leave. Its not looking that good for British speedway with what the Poles are trying to pull off.Look at your own team if the Poles do get there way most of your asset list i would think will pick Poland and Sweden and will not be allowed to ride for you.I belive that Matt is looking at Bjarne to be one of your top men as that could be the strength of the British league next year . SCB
How is losing a mentalist team manager who makes threats to fans and loves all things Poole (apart from Kyle Newman) even slightly bad? It's some of the best news Bees fans have had for a long time! A manager who also asks fans to meet him after a meeting then disappears out of the stadium as soon as the meeting is over and then slags off said fans on twitter for not meeting him. He was the one who run off after the meeting. Edited October 13, 2016 by SCB

What exactly has Havelock done for Coventry Speedway? All this 'the riders love him', blah blah, was the first sign it would never work. He may have been a decent rider in his day, but that does not make him a manager or a good one at that. All I can think of is all the embarrassing crap we've had to suffer from him! I'm very sad to see Chris go, but I completely understand his need to go...
heathen chemistry
i liked havvy, he was one that tells it as it is , without wory of upsetting the establishment he has a wealth of knowledge to pass on to youngsters, thats one thing he could of done better at coventry, he hardly ever stayed behind to help the storm riders, garrity has improved no end still a bit wild but a lot better, sarge had a good couple of yrs butthis yr the gating has got to his head a bit... remember harris shakin his head in disbelief in the poole match on sky , which thou to be fair did look rigged in poole favour a bit , when the meeting clerk agrees to a track inspection then goes back on his word, its wrong
Bee 26
Won't be sad to see Havvy go as long as Rogers isn't being lined up as the replacement. His approach and attitude was unprofessional and a new manager could just be what Coventry need.

It's seems Havvy wants/has a job nearer home. He has constantly moaned on twitter about the travel and traffic to Coventry. I hope he is or Horton he will probably lose more fans I'd be very surprised if Garrity wasn't at Coventry next season.
fliss44
I bet Garrity is gutted to see him go, who will pander to him now? That's harsh Lisa -- perhaps some jealousy involved? He's improved greatly despite being a tad wild at times. A chance for Fraud to buy the best.
LisaColette
Are you the Coventry thread's version of Gavan?!! Hmmm but harsh! Pretty sure I haven't slagged off any Coventry riders or insult any posters on here! But it's true Havvy did pander to him. That's harsh Lisa -- perhaps some jealousy involved? He's improved greatly despite being a tad wild at times. A chance for Fraud to buy the best. What's harsh? Some TM have fave riders who they let get away with stuff other riders wouldn't get away with! Poole have done the same in the past. It's seems Havvy wants/has a job nearer home. He has constantly moaned on twitter about the travel and traffic to Coventry. I'd be very surprised if Garrity wasn't at Coventry next season. Interesting that he never moaned about the travelling when he rode for Poole

mdmc82
Plus riders obviously get more pay than managers. Exactly. He has more than made up for it now though with the amount of moaning he has done about Poole since 😉
