Gazc
Well, I, along with three other Edinburgh fans will be there cheering on the Bandits. We don't normally attend, so that's a few extras £££s in the coffers of Berwick. Hope the Tiggers get stuffed. Every chance that we could end up with a beating similar to Edinburgh got hope you have a very unpleasant night though.
crescent girl
Some intriguing match-ups, which could decide this one.... Dawid Stachra or Coty Garcia? Dany Gappmaier or Nike Lunna? Liam Carr or Danny Ayres? Tasty! Edited July 26, 2016 by crescent girl
damosuzuki
To revert to the match, for those who don't subscribe to e-Newsletter, the teams are announced as: Bandits: 1. Kevin Doolan (captain), 2. Matthew Wethers, 3. Theo Pijper, 4. Dawid Stachyra, 5. Thomas Jorgensen, 6. Dany Gappmaier, 7. Liam Carr. Tigers: 1. Richard Lawson, 2. Coty Garcia, 3. Richie Worrall, 4. Rene Bach, 5. Aaron Summers (captain), 6. Nike Lunna, 7. Danny Ayres. Still really believe this is a meeting we should be able to win, the Gating advantage should be there for Worral and Lawson, Coty at 2 makes it a bit more difficult for him but he will score a good few and he's very at home on the track. A lot comes down to how the no 4's, and the reserves do. Liam I think will score well, but Danny will improve on his last visit. Also I believe Gappmaier is pretty good, but he's not been up against a strong side at home yet. Come on Glasgooooooooooooooooooow.

MD
Always liked the Banditos!! Breaking the party line there TS. You're supposed to hate the Berwick track and run it down at every opportunity. Wonder if the Peterborough fans will also take it up?
TheScotsman
Yeah it's a crap track and they did stuff us at the Fours, but when they are against the Tiggers I always like the Banditos!!
damosuzuki
Fully understand the Monarchs fans wanting to catch two genuine play off rivals in action. No doubt they are raising petrol money as we speak, and will come eight to a car with their tartan rugs and thermos flasks.

I don't there complete obsession with us far outweighs there interest in there own team personally i couldn't care less what they do or any other team for that matter. They try & play it down as banter but i would suggest there obsession is bordering on unhealthy or maybe they just can't stand the thought off how far we have improved on & off the track in a short space off time.
TheScotsman
"how far we have improved on & off the track in a short space off time." You were starting from such a low base it was almost impossible not to have improved provided you kept in business.
damosuzuki
Fair enough, but Monarchs have been at armadale for twenty odd years and it is an absolute dump far beyond anything else in Speedway. They have achieved the impossible by letting the stadium get worse from a baseline of hee haw.

screm
We had rain in Berwick over night, but that`s all gone now to leave a sunny start to today.
topsoil
Good to see this turning into an Edinburgh v Glasgow thread :-) first time in my life I've heard of an Edinburgh fan supporting Berwick, but the more the merrier. The rain overnight may have done the track a big favour as it settles in today.Looking forward to what could be a cracker tonight. I would have Glasgow slight favourites, based on their top end strength, but plenty of intriguing matchups, how will the newbie Dawid do? How will Coty ride back on his old track (very impressive in the League Cup)? Liam and Danny Ayres had some good tussles in the Stars of Tomorrow, who comes out on top tonight? How Stachyra goes tonight will go along way to Berwick winning this meeting, unfortunately for him IMO there can be no settling in period as we are now at the business end of the season so with a two or three meeting settling in period and our meetings will be all but run. There`s a play off place to fight for and Berwick are in with as good a chance as any.

We need to avoid last places especially our reserves which is easier said than done. A good meeting in prospect.
