gazzac
Seems odd all the forecasts I've looked at say a small chance of a shower in the afternoon, looking dry in the evening! Probably more to do with Wednesday's meeting than Fridays I imagine. Edited July 21, 2016 by gazzac

Probably more to do with Wednesday's meeting than Fridays I imagine. KING’S Lynn have taken the decision to postpone Friday’s Knockout Cup tie between the Young Stars and Eastbourne. Extensive track work was carried out on Wednesday in a bid to salvage the Elite League match against Swindon following a heavy storm in the build-up to the meeting. Unfortunately the weather forecast for Friday shows the possibility of further downpours in the afternoon and evening, and the club do not wish to risk putting supporters, riders and staff into a potentially similar scenario. An early call has therefore been made and we would like to thank Eastbourne for their understanding.

All I meant was if it hadn't been for Wednesday, can't believe they'd have called it off this early as all the main forecasts ( BBC, met office etc)don't look bad. mrss
Might as well give the tie to Eastbourne. Young Stars will never make the points deficit up.
Countershaftcounter
Kings Lynn have taken the decision to call this meeting off cos Buster buggered up the track last night rather than calling it off when it should have been
Alex2000
Could have had the makings of a boring meet anyway. Ellis perks would be unavailable, GC is still injured (r/r) Layne cupitt and Jack Thomas guesting. Meanwhile R/R for Bailey at least if we do re-stage there's a chance of a full set of teams. gazzac
The league match at KL has still to be re arranged with Eastie, does make you wonder if the KO Cup match will go ahead or whether it'll be declared a 0/75 without running it if that's possible? As Eastie have no home fixtures in August, as usual it's going to be a manic September/October to get all the fixtures in, league and KO Cup matches.
