Coventry_Bee
Don't agree, Bomber at the new Belle Vue has struggled, he couldn't pass PL riders at the British final and Danny King was brilliant, also his Cardiff performance and recent Ipswich and Coventry form should earn him a place. Tai Cook Lambert King
Woz01
Thing is I'd bet on Bomber to beat the top riders over King and Cook. If his set up is right he's a big asset to have in the side (heat 15 last night for example) but if it isn't he could be a sitting duck.
Bee 26
Would pick Bomber over King. King only any good from gate 4 and you know Bomber can always reel someone in and make a pass. GREAT BRITAIN: Tai Woffinden © Danny King Robert Lambert Craig Cook Adam Ellis (Res) Steve Worrall (stand-by) #MonsterEnergySWC No bomber then

He can't have got the title by being on gate 4 all night Cook is my worry as if he doesn't gate then he's not good at all. Not a good racer and struggles against the big boys. That said Harris isn't good at Belle Vue. Nicholls really out of form. Let's hope King, Tai & Lambert can dial in quick and get us on the podium. Steve Shovlar
Not confident at all ,squad looks about right but still think we will be last. I don't think there's any doubt, though I would love to be proved wrong. Will we then get page upon page demanding Rosco's head like the wolf pack went after Middlo? No because Rosco hasn't included the likes of Kennett, Barker or Bridger 🙈
Aces51
King won the BF because the wet track made the best racing line out wide and King had the courage and skill to use it. Similarly at Cardiff he did nothing until the outside line developed. I suspect that the weather next week is not going to be wet and therefore not provide the conditions he needs to do well. I hope I am wrong and he does well. As for Cook it is a myth that he is not a racer. I have seen him chase and pass riders so many times. However, he has not yet ridden at his best this year but is still the right choice at the NSS. Some think Steve Worrall might have been a better choice. He has made fantastic progress, which he showed again last night but you cannot compare his scores as a second string to Cook riding as a heat leader.
SteveLyric2
Bates and Harris were informed before last night's meeting that they weren't in the TEAM GB 1-5. Maybe that affected their performances worse than Nicholls and Worrall.

Maybe that affected their performances worse than Nicholls and Worrall. Harris looked like his head was down from the start and wasn't his usual self. We were talking in the stands saying we thought it looked like he wasn't in after Rosco informed rider that morning. Bates didn't look any different to watch. Worrall is on standby so shouldn't really affect him. It is good to see a fast draft rider involved. Yes it's on his home track but he's riding well away as well. Credit to Mark Lemon and Newcastle as he's really progressed this year. It was a great move for him leaving Swindon and joining The Aces

Phil The Ace
I don't get all this we have no home track advantage etc etc. We have only lost 1 home match and that was the very first match where that could be expected I suppose. KIRKYLANE
Danny King won the British Final in fine style and produced a very creditable performance in Cardiff,,, He deserves his spot in the team.. Give Steve Worrall one more year and he will force himself in to the team. HIs improvement this year has been a joy to see and hopefully will continue..
Phil The Ace
It's only riders, ex-riders and people involved in running speedway who keep saying it for some reason, what do they know about it anyway? They obviously don't know much then because as I said. We have only lost 1 home meeting. People think you should win every home meeting 60-30. Buy I'm sorry. You can't. This is through Elite League. Toughest league on the planet

As riders have said, the track has been different match to match so, at the moment, they don't know what to expect. Against Swindon the inside line was best, at the British Final way out by the fence and against Leicester, Palm-Toft exploited a mid line. I don't see it as a track where there will ever be a big home advantage because it is too easy to ride and most seem to enjoy it but when it settles down home riders will know most weeks where the best grip and lines are likely to be and that will give them an edge. They obviously don't know much then because as I said. We have only lost 1 home meeting. People think you should win every home meeting 60-30. Buy I'm sorry. You can't. This is through Elite League. Toughest league on the planet Our away record shows we are the best team in the league, we would beat almost everyone on a neutral track so or home record doesn't prove we have a home advantage. However Phil after your comments about the strength of the EL I assume your just joking ti get a reaction.
Gemini
.....mdmc82.........Harris looked like his head was down from the start and wasn't his usual self. We were talking in the stands saying we thought it looked like he wasn't in after Rosco informed rider that morning. Instead of acting like a mardy sod as usual then perhaps it should have made him more determined to prove Rosco's decision was wrong.
MK1
Some people are very quick to criticise even though they don't know all the facts.Kacper Woryna is finding his form on British tracks. He had a difficult start and then badly injured his hand. Shortly after his comeback, he was involved in the horrific crash in Poland which would have affected even the most experienced of riders. In the four days preceding the meeting at Poole on 20/7, he had four meetings in Poland, including coming 5th in the individual junior tournament, 2nd in the pairs juniors (where he top scored and won the race off for 2nd place) and then scored a massive 21 point maximum in the junior team tournament. You can't argue with those results. At Coventry last night, he arrived after a two day break and was clearly fired up and showing the quality and promise he has. Despite the bad luck with BB's mechanical problem that hindered Woryna's progress in heat 9, he was out there mixing it up with some quality riders in heat 11. Scott Nicholls is a very good rider and a nice guy. To me it looked like he tried to avoid collecting Kacper on bend 2, but that's racing. The ref made the right call on that occasion. Kacper was battered by the fall, but the adrenaline got him through the rerun on his spare bike and with a little adjustment to the setup he won heat 12. After heat 12 the bruising on his elbow was coming up and he was in pain, so it was too risky for him (and the other riders) to send him out again for what would have been his fourth race in six heats. Don't criticise Havvy for that.At the end of the meeting Kacper spent a lot of time chatting with fans, but you could see he wasn't moving comfortably and was avoiding shaking hands because of the injury to his right elbow. I think he will be a top rider. Consistency will come with experience.Don't give up on your team. They need you now, more than ever!
