Event 1 Vojens 23/7/16

I said I think He will never be world champion. Of course he is a good rider and the opposition tonight was certainly not GP standard. A top 8 GP rider, but not WC.

Up to this point I was agreeing with you tonight. bit to say Emil won't be World Champion is ridiculous. The man is pure class. He is up there with the very best and equal to any challenge the SGP could throw at him.....

If, when he decides to ride, he will be one of the favourites to win.... Awesome Talent.......

Thoroughly enjoyed an exciting meeting. When looking at the wealth of young Polish talent, you realise how far behind the other nations are. .

I'm with the minority here and think it was right to exclude zmarzlik.

The fact he moved his elbow out in the direction of NKI you could see he knew what he was doing. Unfortunately for him NKI was on 1 wheel at the time (nowt wrong with that) so he lost control. Without the elbow movement NKI would have missed the corner and come out of bend 2 last. As it was zmarzlik tried making sure he was ahead of NKI and it back fired.

i don't think you are in the minority at all. Quite a few on here now agreeing it was the correct call. Think the ref was spot on. Not only did Zmarzlik elbow but he was turning right on Iversen at the same time. He was the primary cause of the stoppage.

Agree with your opinions on the Polish team, the only disappointment must be how the Danes with their youth system don't seem to be keeping pace.

Surely depends the quality of talent coming through, can't make them all into great riders.

What a joke of a decision to exclude Zmarlick, she should never go near another FIM meeting in her life.

Held the tapes too long as well , suprised that twit Tatum thought it was the right decision, talked up what was really a very average meeting.

Junior

I agree with Kelvin Tatum, I thought she made good calls all night. It's about time we had a ref (excuse the pun) with the balls to make tough decisions on first bends. Too many refs bottle it and call all four back rather than make a decision.

The ref. made good calls all night long, every one pretty much correct IMO. Maybe she should be given a chance with the GP's too as there's too many stale and at times biased refs. in that.

No,but we were told a few years ago by Philip after talking to Erik, that the next generation would be even better than Mikkel Bech/Michelsen etc.So far they haven't made the grade.Ok,f-s-p say's their development is being blocked by those riders already at the top.So we will obviously have to wait until Nicki,Neils etc retire before a new wave comes through.......I don't agree with this scenario though, but they are the experts :P:D

I enjoyed that meeting. Good that it was close until the end. Denmark actually did better than I thought they would cos of paper they looked quite weak.

For me the highlight was watching Emil who made it look easy. even after being out for a while with injury, he just looks so natural on a bike. Made easy work of the competition.

I'd say it was hard to do much worse really as Russia were obviously weakened by Lagutas absence and the Czechs relying on 1 rider.

Talent prevails or does he mean that the senior riders are gaining all the best sponsorship perhaps?

Yes,of course the best deals go to the top riders. Was it just luck the than most of the Polish top riders were on their way out just as a new generation came through? The same with Australia? Was it just luck that Denmark had a few good riders come through at one time and nothing to do with their system and we have to wait for another period of luck rather than it being anything to do with the system in place?Just like we had a burst of talent in the early 70s and then again in the early 80s.....why haven't the US had a new wave of talent now that all but Greg have retired?

Can anyone tell me why only a junior rider can be on reserve? Why not any rider? Is BSI too scared of the fact that we Poles have plenty of great senior riders and just wants to make it harder for us?

because Poland cheated a few years back when one of your riders was apparently injured in the FInal.:lol:

Fairly predictable event, horrible race circuit as ever in Vojens. Very little passing. Denmark must be hoping the Aussie's beat the Swede's in Vasterik else they're not gonna make the final.

yeah 2007 in Leszno when Walased suddenly 'passed out' ;)

instead of silly ideas like u21 reserve who can only replaced an injured rider, just allow a regular reserve who can replace anyone at any given time, would definitely make things more interesting
