King's Lynn V Swindon 20th July 7.30pm

Absolute shambles. Fingers will be pointed in all directions and to be honest whether people blame the riders (none of them were interested in continuing), the referee, Buster, Rosco or whoever the fact remains that speedway has absolutely no idea how to treat its customers.

Complete waste of an evening.

Didn't think things could get any worse after being at Leicester Saturday night but tonight's shambles came close . If the riders didn't want to ride why did the meeting start.? I am out of pocket again covererd in crap and saw 4 crap races in 2 hours. Little wonder crowds are falling. And to cap it all no refunds by the club.

Buster have the usual spiel that it was the riders fault, totally unacceptable from the BSPA chairman.

The track was a mess straight after the rain and Buster would have normally took the top surface off.

But no, proceeded to turn the start gate into a swap pit so then had to mess about fixing that.

Then tried dragging sludge off turn 3.

Then decided to blade the track at almost 9pm.

At this point a substantial number of fans decided to leave, not at all surprised by that.

Rider's did try to give it a go but the track just couldn't be raced on.

In all honesty, totally embarrassing for King's Lynn Speedway tonight. Shambles by the promotion and the riders I will stick up for tonight.

My heart was Speedway, I now feel I've just bled to death

Full refund is available at the ticket office or entrance to any remaining Stars fixture

My first live meeting for about 4 years. What a farce. It was quite obvious from Heat 1 that the conditions were too bad to produce any real racing. Dragging it out for so long was enough to turn many people away from speedway. I certainly will be in no hurry to go again.

I am at a loss to understand why anyone was there in the first place! :nono::cry:

Yet another nail into that coffin tonight. A truly terrible evening. I have sympathy for Buster, I have sympathy for the fans; and no way do I blame the riders. Without doubt, the sport was the biggest loser tonight. Some supporters will have left tonight, never to be seen again.

The untimely rain shower had a lot to answer for. It couldn't have come at a worse time with damning consequences. Yes its easy to understand why Buster wanted to meeting to run. The financial implications must be horrendous.... The riders risk life and limb every meeting so obviously want a safe track to race on, so no complaints there. But the Fans and supporters should be considered more in situations like this and any decision should be made bearing them in mine. TO ask them to wait around hoping the meeting goes ahead is wrong.

I joined in after the rain when the skies were blue. Big crowds had assembled at the box offices I believed the meeting was going ahead. That was until I saw the track. It was a disgrace. there were clods 6" big near the start area. No way was this track ready to race.......

In hindsight it should have been cancelled then. If there had been any doubt at this time then it should have been called. The punters and kids could have gone home.

I admire Buster endeavour and determination to remedy the track, but is it right the paying public having to wait 2 hrs, not knowing whether it be on or off. To me that was a bad call, but it was made for personal reasons only......

A bad day for all concerned...... It did nobody any favours......

Damned if you do damned if you don't.Buster tried more than anyone else would have.Plenty moan about early rain offs, when a teams loosing they want it called off.Buster tried and the riders said no go.He could of got in his car and went home at 7.30.

Totally backing the riders tonight.

I am utterly speechless on how poor Rory was spoken too.....oooppps shouted and abused at by management, it was totally bang out of order and disrespectful of a top bloke, if I was you Rory I would demand an apology failing that I would tell them were to shove it......The riders were not happy with the track before the meeting started......NOTHING was done about it, meeting should of been cancelled. they tried to run the meeting but after 2 heats and 2 crashes, everything came to a hault and the ref finally decided to come down to have a chat with the riders. Doyly kept wanting the public to be kept up dated with what was happening.......NOT

Give him his due Buster did then go out and blade the track, the riders then went out for another 2 heats, but decided that it was still too dangerous, and it would not be classed as racing to which the paying public want to see.

Total and utter shambles

Can you clarify what you meant by 'Doyley kept wanting the public to be kept updated with what was happening.....not' please?

From what I could see Doyle and Schlien were the ones making the most noise about the track. Doyle also caused the Leicester meeting last season to be abandoned with his moaning about track conditions. I will be very surprised if Schlien rides again for Lynn after the way Buster spoke to him last night.
