waco
I think we would all like to see Rob in the team.but Karger still has to do that away meeting
baba
Danny's form is a concern and I hope he can turn it around real soon. Today he misses the spotlight but a closer score with the wrong result , then there won't be any way of avoiding it. I know he's a great guy and he's well liked but the points need to start flowing especially at home.
Shadders
Rob Branford is surely in for Peter after the last couple of days. Well done Rob For another month at least.

tyretrax
Firstly, well done on today's meeting. However I must register my disappointment, in fact disgust, at the lack of respect in the passing of Betty Beaton. We had, in my opinion, a half hearted mention mention of Betty's passing mid meeting. Betty was the power behind the throne of Jimmy Beaton and work tiressley and without praise for Glasgow Speedway. At least Betty deserved an acknowledgement pre-meeting with a minute silence. Â Edit to say, No programme mention either. I know he's a great guy and he's well liked but the points need to start flowing especially at home. Â Not at all. If I may put an alternative view, the "problem" is not at Reserve as such, its Nike Lunna dropping into the Reserve berth being injured and few options to cover. The up side is the form and continuing development of one of the starting reserves, Garcia, but also tbf Danny has been a revelation being his first year at this level and he puts his heart and soul into riding for Glasgow. But when its comes down to the crunch he has to do better.I dissagree I think he's doing his job, he was up against the best ACTUAL number 7 in the league (not including Perry) I think Glasgow's choice of guests need to be better for Lunna, Ellis Perks?!?! he's a struggling 3 pointer

Shadders
And young children in the house then there is travelling. I want danny to succeed btw. It was his choice to sign for a club at the other end of the country. Can't imagine why he'd want to do that.

mac101
Danny has no problem with travel it's speedway goes with the job and he was already up here since Friday he gives 100% try's to hard I think he rides too fast chasing sometimes which makes him go off line and loses ground when you watch him he looks a lot faster than some riders but if you are not on the racing lines your not going forward and the harder he try's the harder it is for him ,watching him after today's meeting he looks smooth much better when he slows down and rides the proper lines I know it's hard when there is 3 other riders along with him but it will come sometimes you have to slow down a little bit to go faster
damosuzuki
I get what people are saying but I still think it's wrong. Look at the no 7's across the league - they were all brought in as arbitary 3 pointers and over half have failed to achieve that average. Ayres is near the top. We have a top heavy team and lucked in with Garcia on a three and even today Danny looked good for at least another point in the heat he had mechanical failure. Â The defeats that have cost us imo have come from higher up the averages - if and when we reach the playoffs I hope we can continue really hammering teams at home. Eg look at Scunthorpe - Danny rode 0.82 below his average. Lawson, Garcia and Rene dropped around 10 between them. So aagree that Danny can improve but we were never going to be a team that won matches on reserves from the moment the line up was announced. Â Thought the team did well today and especially Rene who I thought was terrific.

Paulco
The criticism of Danny is a bit harsh , he's still very much a beginner at speedway , he's going to have some ropey meetings from time to time . Don't forget , he wasn't part of the parade yesterday as he was having mechanical issues in the pits and that was followed by shedding a chain in heat 4 . We won by 18 points despite our struggles at reserve yesterday , so I wouldn't worry too much

During a family holiday in Kent, last week, I took the opportunity to see Danny ride for the Kings, coincidentally against Rye House Raiders. Ben Morley was the best rider on show. Danny won races comfortably but his technique was still poor, the wider Central Park bends being more forgiving. He's keen as a badger but the apparent paradox of "slow down to go faster" is spot on. If he concentrated on technique and racing lines he'd make progress around the track. His "job" is to beat the opposition 7 at home and better technique than quicker speed would consistently do this IMO.
GWC
Yes - a team of 4 heat leaders against a team of 2 so unless Rye's reserves have a stormer this will be our away performance. still, makes for some good home meetings this season. SharpenRake
I think this was the type of meeting we all thought would be typical when the season started - top 4 scoring well and bottom 3 picking up the pieces. This was the first time it has happened and we still won comfortably in an entertaining match. It shows how well the bottom 3 have been riding and exceeding expectations so far. As has been said above the problem is with Nikes injury now he is at reserve so the quicker he gets back the better. That will take pressure of danny although as others have said he is one of the best no.7 in the country so one relatively poor match at home against a strength in depth team and when he had bike problems is not a problem. Â Well done Rene looked really quick but think Richard should have got MoM trophy I think some fans just take him for granted.
startline sid
Cracking meeting. There was a lot of passing and very close races particularly in the first half. Very typical Glasgow this year, and what you'd expect from a top heavy side. yes fully agree - my first visit to Glasgow for 10 years - great fans good racing and a superb stadium - well worth the long trip
