spt82
Seem awfully concerned about my 7 year old but lets cut to the chase are you condoning what Masters did me personally i couldn't care less could be put down to several things heat off the moment etc and in answer to your question Mr Philadelphia Lawyer no the fans were not gesturing. Well there's pictures that prove otherwise! I'm not condoning what Sam did, although I'd be prepared to bet he was reacting to someone in the crowd gesturing to him. This really is a mountain being made out of a molehill though!!

I at a guess would say they may be reacting to Sam but 2 wrongs don't make a right as i said i couldn't care less personally what he does could do with more pantomime villians adds to the atmosphere. And what i meant the Fan's around where i was standing were not gesturing what happens in other parts off the stadium i couldn't comment as i can't see it. daveallan81
Haud the Beaton's bus here. Four Glasgow press releases relating to matches with the Monarchs infer that there is going to be, or was, some sort of confrontation. 'Battle', 'argy-bargy', 'brutal', 'punch-ups': http://www.glasgowtigers.co/richie-loves-wor-words/ http://www.glasgowtigers.co/garcia-argy-barges-monarchs-aside/ http://www.glasgowtigers.co/going-sum-battle/ http://www.glasgowtigers.co/long-arm-of-law/ The club are obviously keen to promote these events as some kind of epic West v East struggle during which supporters should expect to see confrontation both on and off the bikes. As Richard Lawson said: "You get punch-ups and all sorts at the derby. I think the fans gain from it – it’s a better atmosphere, you get more supporters there and you get boos and cheers, win or lose – so it adds a bit to it. It’s always more exciting. I do get some abuse at times but I love it – if you get booed or cheered, you’re doing something well. If you don’t get a response then you should be looking at yourself.” Far be it from me to question the promotion's sales techniques but if they're trying to boost the gate by emphasizing the volatile and confrontational nature of the fixture, then you really shouldn't be surprised, or indeed disappointed, when something of that nature occurs. If you feel that your offspring have now been scarred for life then perhaps you should have paid more attention to the hype and left them at home. After all, you were well warned. damosuzuki
I'm not surprised or dissapointed tbh. Thught it was a great day out. Spent much of the time next to Monarchs supporting pals and we aall enjoyed the panto villian shenanigans. We are very lucky to have rivals and a derby like this.

george.m
Wonder how many kids were queuing outside the local GP yesterday morning with symptoms of PTSD? Anyway, a few pics from the meeting .... and of course, these come with a Parental Guidance warning. https://www.flickr.com/photos/glasgowtigersspeedway/albums/72157668861487063 Edited August 2, 2016 by george.m

TheScotsman
Obviously such a win is a massive deal for the Weegies so let's humour them for a bit longer. They have of course been commonplace wins for us over the past few years though.

Spent much of the time next to Monarchs supporting pals and we aall enjoyed the panto villian shenanigans. We are very lucky to have rivals and a derby like this. What club wouldn't want another club close to them to give both clubs local a local Derby . The closeness of local clubs can only be a benefit to both clubs extra people through the gate when the two clubs meet and the added spice in the stands its all good fun . Look what its doing to this thread days after the match and people still hurling banter back and forwards great fun. As for the Panto villain when Danny Ayers round at foxhall last month after his heat 2 victory he was all arms pumping and that but rest of the night was pretty poor which the Ipswich BSF Massif took great delight in letting him know . But fast forward a couple of weeks and Danny was guesting for us against Peterborough it must have been in the back on his mind as he was brilliant for us and the BSF and crowd gave him a great acknowledgement for it . Sport needs local derby's and Hero's and Villians no matter what sport it is , it all adds to the fun and enjoyment .
