A tough meeting against who I feel (especially with Garrity) is the strongest looking side on paper, however without Garrity I think the Diamonds will win this meeting by about 12 or 14 points and we just gotta hope we can get the 2nd leg in before Garrity returns, although I do wish him the best of recoveries as he's one of my favourite riders and I never like to see an injured rider :(

When is Garrity due to return?

There was a article in the Sheffield Star saying it would be August before Jason is back.

Also, Josh Bates has pulled out of a guest booking for Kings Lynn tonight after crashing in his final ride at Coventry on Friday so not sure if he's riding tomorrow ???

EDIT Jonas Andersen guests for Bates

That's a shame :( Must have been a pretty serious injury :(

Also was looking forward to watch Josh Bates

Boom.... Expected a comfortable home win but not by 34 points. Surely that will be enough even if we are in PL select mode on Thursday. We got 40 there in the League and that was with Garrity banging in a 15 point max. Without him it looks a hopeless task for Sheffield.

The Diamonds were awesome. Victor exceptional as was Ludde. Breathtaking wins for Ludde in heat 14 over the decent Andersen and again in heat 15. Sheffield were poor with Stead having one of his bad Brough nights. Howarth gave it everything but has rarely scored well here. Berge and the two reserves were off the pace.

I've said if before but I'd back us against anyone over 2 legs providing we can field our full team. That probably won't be necessary here.

As others have said I have no idea why Stead was excluded in heat 13. Utterly bizarre.

Wolbert (or did Roy say Fisher?? !!) for Steve, otherwise 2-7 unchanged from tonight.

Fantastic performance by the Diamonds and could have been more, Steve fall cost him maximum, Kus be disappointed didn't win heat 12 and Robert and Lewis were under par but still got good points. Danny struggled and his points were gifted but good to see Steve helping him after meeting hope it helps Danny. Sheffield were poor apart from single win each from Stead, Howarth and Anderson and clearly missed Garrity and maybe Bates as Anderson was competitive but did little apart from 12 and 14 which made his score looked better than it should. Should have enough but professional performance needed cant take nothing for granted especially against Tigers.

another fantastic home performance by diamonds

team is clearly built for the playoffs and cup - tbf would be good for league but we never have our full team out for the away games which is costing us points

mind you the speedway gods seem to have it in for us

the league cup ruling was joke, we had a decent chance at the pairs until we had to field our 4th rider and a reserve !!!!! - and now the 4TT which I would think we would be in a great shout for ................ no lindgren pava or kus .... UNBELIEVABLE .................. who would be a promoter !!!!!!!

and yes - weirdest decision of the season ............. steads joke of an exclusion ............ it was a racing incident and the race should have continued ................... just summed up sheffields night really

I thought it was just Kus and Lindgren missing. I believe Palovaara is available, might be wrong. If that is the case our lineup I assume will be Lambert, Worrall, Palovaara and Rose with Phillips as reserve!!!

its a real shame about the 'fours' as, I think its one of Matty's tracks and now no 'Lightning',,, when really we shudda been in with a great chance, but like the pairs we have suffered :(

suppose that the price you pay when you have GP stars and internationals in your team ;)
