Peterborough V Scunthorpe Pl - Tuesday 12th July

I thought if you leave the track your excluded! And also what happened to 2 minutes? Now 22 minutes? After all that time Kerr cuts across the grass.......

Except of course that the texter on updates has said that 'Kerr drove around the course direct to the startline 'and only rode around the start post'. Hardly 'cutting across the grass track' which does put medical and red flag people in danger of being hit by the bike.

If I was a rider I'd just ride through the tapes in this situation. If you can't go around the tapes any more then you have to go through them.

you're kidding?? The were absolutley shocking against a depleted Newcastle the day before.

No; honest I'm not; the Scorpions are capable of far better than their results have been; and granted again Monday we showed our frailties again at Rough Park (where we rarely do well). But I'll stick by my belief we can push on and still have a say in the outcome of this league. But obviously your fully entitled to your own opinion.

Obviously your riders have not got the skill set to ride Brough Park (although I have seen Carl Wilkinson have some great meetings at Brough) - I didn't see Mauger, Olsen, Michenek, Owens, Nikki Pedersen, Bjarne Pedersen, Bjerre or Lambert struggling too much on the same track

What about the other non-world class riders you may have seen struggle around Rough Park. By your logic, obviously Robert Lambert does not have the skill set to ride Derwent Park as he could only score 5 points, but he is one of the outstanding riders of the season so far.

A professional speedway rider should be able to ride all tracks and to say 'Rough Park' when a number of riders both top class and non top class riders have had no prolems in riding the track is both absurd and ignorant. All riders have poor meetings and some have tracks where they're less comfortable on but for supporters like you and 'the outsider' to say 'Rough Park' is a bit immature just because your team were comfortably beaten. And as for Robert Lambert having a poor meeting at Workington doesn't really demonstrate anything as I put money on now barring injury that he scores a lot more on his return.

at at track the entire 1-7 hate--including ex Diamonds!!

we will never get above mid 30s at Brough park,

Sorry, but that is wrong on so many counts. For a start, had Josh Bailey ridden Brough Park before? Would Lewi Kerr have come back for a second season if he hated the track?

I've heard it all now; totally laughable that Lewis Kerr hates the track.

Not going to agree that our riders don't have the skill; but going to agree that for some reason they rarely do well there. Wilko clearly laying the myth then; when he has had great meeting there. Those riders you note; different class they could ride any track with relative ease.

Fair play to Scunthorpe, they deserved the win. My only complaint is the state of the track, & the lack of shale to produce good racing. We need to sort this asap, or the crowds will suffer as a result.

Correct and how many times has this happened before - we never learn!

I wondered what the smell was. Yes scunny seemed to have upped their game mainly due to only having 3 riders left from the team that started the season and rr for davies you are stronger for sure

4 riders left from the team that started the season, the same as Peterborough I believe.
