Fourentee
Where is Mr Watson these days to answer about egret from Stadium car park.I would have thought he had enough on his plate without concerns about a small white heron.
Woz01
Are you sure you went if you think there was only 300 people there. There was closer to 1500- 1700. The start was delay due to huge queues outside and stands were full. I'd say a bit more than that to be honest. People forget about the people who sit in the bar to watch. A massive crowd of 300. That rises when Poole go up there... Nice to see that you attend Brandon regularly so that you can form an opinion. Poole probably doesn't even attract our biggest crowd, its probably Leicester. Fourentee
We have no home track advantage. The NSS is such a fair fast track that any advantage we should have is lost, as was shown last night.Up to a point, perhaps. I saw film of the NL meeting (the first of the season?) where that wily old bird Jon Armstrong weighed it up, plonked his back wheel on the dirt line, went round the home opposition and took off into the distance. But sheer familiarity with the surface and layout over the course of the regular season should bring some advantage, surely, even if it's as straightforward as which gearing for which conditions at which point in the meeting?
Fourentee
I'm with you up to a point and appreciate the time factor to which you refer. But the home riders will still be a decent degree better off by the end of the regular season. And if there are that many good lines it should be harder for the visiting riders to find the optimum one quickly.
Gemini
I would have thought he had enough on his plate without concerns about a small white heron. Very good. I was trying to think of something but in the end didn't want to tax my brain too much. I've got loads of photos of Little Egrets if Mr Watson needs any help with identification. I would hope V Leicester is you biggest turn out or Wolves come to that, Otherwise you would have a problem..
LisaColette
Although I seem to remember SCB saying last season that considering how close Wolves are not that many of their fans travel to Brandon, compared to how far it is to Poole and how many Poole fans go. Not Lakeside levels of poor but still one of the worst. Poole certainly always bring loads, Swindon tend to bring a fair few too. And BV have always had quite a few regardless of how good/bad their team is.

tellboy
They do now! But not when they were struggling they didn't. Could count them on one hand. How do people know how many are there.Several people go and support their team and not wear the colours. For instance i see loads of Lynn fans at Leicester Saturday not wearing the colours. So its pretty hard to put a number on the amount of away fans that attend different meetings.

tellboy
Because they all stand together., They are not hard to work out, scarf or no scarf.. Don't be a fool, they don't all stand together.Only after the fiasco on Saturday did i realise there were so many Lynn fans there. They weren't all standing between 1st and 2nd bend with me. When i go away i stand where i want to stand. And if you walk around you see many people you know standing in different locations around the track. Now back in the 80's early 90's most fans seemed to congregate together, but definately not all as you say.

Maybe a few sat in the grandstand but the majority stand together.. But im sure you will dispute that... I dispute the fact you said they all stand together, now you have contradicted yourself and said the majority. Why do you try to make an argument out of anything or anyone on here that dosen't agree with you. Edited July 18, 2016 by tellboy
