Woz01
I must be the only one who seen passes in most heats. Bellego was passed in every one of his rides Harris, King, KK and Bjarne also made passes. There was probably more too.

Think what Steve means is that his riders didn't pass enough From memory & updates (could be more) Heat 2: Perks passes Bellego Heat 3: Pirates gated on a 5-1 but Harris then King passed Hans Heat 5: Bellego and Perks kept repassing each other Heat 8: Pedersen passes Roynon. Heat 12: Perks passed Bellego Heat 13: was a super passing from Kaspazak on Holder who led for a few laps. One of the races of the night. Harris also passed Bjarne. Heat 15: Poole gate on a 5-1 but brilliant from bees to blast round and make it a 5-1 to cov. Not sure how a Poole fan can claim they have more passes than that at their track 😂 Edited July 16, 2016 by mdmc82
houdi
It never works like that. When was the last time Poole had a thumping away win? Ellis Perks is not going to get near a point. Bjarne is nowhere near the rider he once was. On Wednesday he scored well but against who? He looked slow and tentative to be honest. Can see Bates and Barker giving him serious problems. This is going to be extremely close. 4 points in it. Well mystic meg finally calls something right, and winning by 4 points as well, ,There seems something rather poetic about winning by 4 points just now, just a shame the final score wasn't 52 to 48. mdmc82
All rivalry aside. I really hope last night isn't the last Coventry V Poole meeting we will ever see at Brandon. 😞 Our teams have had some brilliant meetings over the years. Let's hope we get to continue next year 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Also like the way the meeting was run by the ref , 2 mins on after riders cleared the track from the previous heat . Steve is correct Hans cost Poole the match . he had an off night , so what ALL riders will have them during the season . .. Rumours from the locals I heard last night ,, 5 more years .. An agreement to build housing & keep the stadium open . .. What I don't understand IF this is the Bees final year why has no FINAL meeting been announced or even planned .. Olsen , Andersen , Knudsen ,Miller Jorgensen ,Smith ,etc the stars of the past return to say goodbye to the place at the Brandonapolis meeting .. ??

From a personal point of view Frank was the one I was thinking of at the time , although different eras have different heroes & its applicable to any rider who has the nerve & balls to even ride a bike .. LisaColette
There is no sour grapes from any Poole fan. Steve has already said Coventry deserved it, so how is that sour grapes?! Think some need an online dictionary when they post!
Woz01
Have a word with Gemini will ya? She's not towing the company line by agreeing with me. Oh so someone who disagrees with you is towing the party line even though I stated in my previous post riders who passed or made a pass during the meeting. Jeez. There is no point arguing with some on here. Every home Coventry meeting is played out in front of a massive crowd and the racing is top drawer according to a few. So boring reading the same old tripe every week. I don't think I say every week that there are big crowds or the racing is great. I wouldn't say yesterday was in the top 3 meetings of the year but it was decent with more heats with passes than not and a couple with more than one pass. sommelier
If you have been four times this year you are well aware the standard of racing at Poole is generally excellent. This must be a wind up. No sour grapes at all. I Am not pi55ed with Coventry. I am pi55ed with one of our riders for failing to to produce anywhere near what he should have done last night. I have said on three ocassions well done to Coventry. That's now 4 times. Standard of racing at Poole is generally excellent ??? Must admit i'm very spoilt attending Somerset Sheffield & Zielona Gora regular
foreverblue
Really? Belligo a big fat zero. Barker 5 and Adam 4....if you're calling them guests. Adam was already in the race when he had his 4th ride. The other possibility was heat 9 but that was against Pedersen and Kurtz who scored a 5-1 so I doubt if replacing him with Adam would have made any difference. New rule brought in especially for Poole at lunch time today so Bjarne didn't get excluded. That's got to be a bit easier than trying to get a dog to limbo underneath the turnstile. Ellis Perks rode surprising well although he still scored way less than Newman would have and Bellego rode well below what he is capable of, so did oynon a Edited July 16, 2016 by foreverblue

We're not Swindon out to fleece the fans by having a Farewell meeting at The Abbey and then carrying on.

Was in the Midlands & went to the meeting last night I estimate the crowd was possibly 1500 ? About 20 from Poole .. Fair play to Steve says what he sees & stands by it he was there & has an valid opinion . Its quiet easy to sit & have little digs from behind a keyboard , please stop reacting to people winding you up & the world will seem a really happier place .. HONEST .. mdmc82
A massive crowd of 300. That rises when Poole go up there... Are you sure you went if you think there was only 300 people there. There was closer to 1500- 1700. The start was delay due to huge queues outside and stands were full. Edited July 16, 2016 by mdmc82
