robert72
I got attacked for saying he is badly managed which yesterday proved again, somebody needs to put his feet back on the ground and deflate his head and try and teach him about the way he acts is wrong. Badge
How typically British we all are on here!!! This thread plus the Bomber thread highlighting the negative, yet no one thinks of positive posting on Danny King's exciting finish to his Cardiff debut. We know Tai thought before he swore, got the crowd going though, and typical overkill by TV. Obviously I didn't think it was necessary, but I'm an old fuddy duddy, but apart from that I felt he was very pumped with the support and proud riding in his HOME GP.
Ovalman
I think if any newbie youngsters had been watching they would have thought how effing cool, us oldies thought juvenile unprofessional. Popular Post teaboy279
I was sat in the stadium with my six year old daughter and heard no bad language. But from the comments I ve read what he said was pretty harmless. Especially as it was aimed at the crowd. Nothing you won't hear with many other sports when stars address the fans and to get them hyped up. Some people are so jealous they want to run people down all the time. Tai met myself and daughter, my cousin and his daughter in the hotel bar. He took time to speak to the kids, posed for pictures and completely lived up to the idol role. Then the next day Tai spotted both kids on our shoulders at the monster rig riot and continually threw shirts at us till they both got 1. Then made sure he signed both the girls new Woffy hats. He is a hero to them both and indeed us adults still. Also I have friends that have never seen Speedway and have no interest in it but consider Tai a legend as they have had kids looked after by Great Ormond Street. Give the lad a break. It seems to me the only fault people can find in him other then the biggoted nationality argument is he said a four letter word that by many accounts if BT Sport had not apologised multiple times very few would of picked up on.
moxey63
Sadly his behaviour says a lot about society in general. Hopefully, like those tattoos, he'll live to regret his four letter slip.

And there is again doctor goods cure all .Great Ormond Street . donating British Speedway fans money to Great Ormond street was One shrewd move , now everytime he commits another faux pas . the sycofants who can see no wrong in him ,wheel it out Edited July 10, 2016 by speedibee

weatherwatcher
I still remember to this day the words that my English teacher spoke to us all on the day we finished scholl. He had taught us all the time we where there. And I still follow what he told us. " I would feel that I had not done my job properly teaching you the English language. I hope that when you go out there into the big wide world, that you do not start Using vulgar Old Anglo Saxon Enlish vulgar words, as it would have shown that I had failed in my job. It just goes to show when people use swear words, that they have not got a good eductation in the English Language and fail to be able to find a word to use instead of using vulgar 4 letter words in there place. I do not swear even to this day and it makes me cringe when you are out and about and you hear children of 5 or 6 swearing like an old pit face miner.

Well he didn't get a good education, he admits to having difficulty reading or writing.

Wackie
Good greif, this thread is like a meeting between Dads Army and the WI. It was a word, a single seven letter word, that whether you like it or not is used frequently and in lots of cases naturallyl in normal day life. Think what you like, but your kids will hear it, many will use it amongst their peers. I bet you were more shocked than they were, if they even registered hearing it at all!

So it's ok then ? you really need to get out more mate, what has this young lad done to make you so negative about everything he says or does? As far as I'm aware he behaves like a typical adrenaline junkie, but just a bit better at what he does than most. So he swore on TV, hardly murder or rape is it.Tai, some of us are proud of you, and thank you for all of your fundraising for underprivileged people.

I missed the F1 press conference (boring sport) but even I concede it's a very high adrenaline sport, so did Lewis Hamilton utter expletives? No he didn't. And its only speedway that I see apologies given for bad language. Speedway could loose its tag as a family sport due to bad language.

A lesson here then for Tai Woffinden the world champion in a minor motor sport as to how a world champion in major sport behaves. Top marks for this Lewis Hamilton even if your are not one of my F1 favourites. Edited July 10, 2016 by Guest
iris123
Hard to hold Hamilton up as a great person either.Came in for a lot of criticism lately because he stood on the podium twirling his cap whilst the National Anthem of his rival was being played.Quite disrespectful.......
