BWitcher
Perhaps as you appear to know the rule book, why dont you tell us the real reason we was not granted a facillity ? And i said u, nobody else.. Clearly you've looked at this. Come on gobby, dont be shy, im waiting... Still on here arn't you Bwitcher. Your all mouth arn't you, you can dish it very well cant you... What are you waiting for? You tried to track a guest rider for Adam Ellis, for whom you were not entitled to a facility. It's not even in question and none of your other Poole fans are questioning it either. There is no big deal, the right decision was made, Poole won the meeting. Get over it. stevebrum
You aren't allowed a guest for a rider racing in a non speedway meeting. I cannot believe a guest was booked in the first place! Zack Wajtknecht of Birmingham rode in the same meeting as Adam and Birmingham were granted RR, however the rules are enforced less stringently in the NL which I believe there should be more leniency in what is effectively a development league. TonyE
There are few certainties in life but one of them is that 'bigcatdiary' will never miss an opportunity to put the boot in where Lakeside are concerned!
SteveLyric2
Any confusion or discussion about the validity of a facility or not was partly due to the change of fixture dates. The fixture was originally scheduled for Weds 13th July - Poole's usual racenight. It was then switched to Monday 11th as it was one of Sky's potential meetings for live coverage. Both teams were agreeable to the switch. This meant that Ellis could then take his place in the big grasstrack meeting in France (in which one of his big sponsors was heavily involved). There was also no Danish League programme on 13th as was originally a possibility, so when Sky decided not to feature this meeting on Monday it reverted back to its original date of 13th. When the fixture was switched back to its original Weds 13th date, Ellis had by then contracted to the Marmande meeting. It was on this premise ie the change of dates, that MF requested a guest facility and included Wright as the EDR. This was the submitted team to the SCB on Sunday. The SCB made no immediate refusal. Lakeside eventually complained and the SCB referee took their side on the day. As I've said no complaint from me over the decision just the timing of it which stopped Poole from fielding 7 riders including a PL 6pointer. E I Addio
I Leaving it to the last minute is a bad thing to do but we all know Matt would have played it that way so I struggle to have to much sympathy. Last minute ? The report in the local rag says that Ford " finally conceded defeat at 2.40 pm",nearly 5 hours before the start and there had been a lot of to-ing and fro-ing before that so clearly Ford had been trying to get away with it for a long time before that. He was hardly taken by surprise by it all . No way Ford would have given in if he thought he was in the right. He tried to pull a fast one and didn't have a plan B ready when he got caught out. Crazy robin
Who would've paid for Charles Wright's expensives & loss of earnings?. Edited July 14, 2016 by Crazy robin
E I Addio
What I don't understand (other than obvious gamesmanship) is why Lakeside waited until the last minute to object to Wright bearing in mind he was named on Sunday to be in the team. The whole point of the declaration of team line ups ahead of the match was to avoid instances exactly like this. Clearly the referee didn't check either. I don't think anyone comes out with any credit for this fiasco least of all Lakeside. There are few certainties in life but one of them is that 'bigcatdiary' will never miss an opportunity to put the boot in where Lakeside are concerned!..and once again makes a fool of himself by getting his facts wrong.Nope, you are just using your bias against Poole, as they is no reason why Lakeside couldn't have objected it days before! k!No reason why Ford should have tried to cheat in the first place. TBF there was no plan B. No facility. Anyway, yes, it does change things. No sympathy at all with Poole over this one. Not that I had much at all to begin with. ouch
It says a lot about the Poole fans that they feel hard done to for being found cheating. It's so ingrained down there it's the norm to them and this sense of injustice they have is staggering. Weird.

Sorry but you are incorrect here- plenty of times a facility has been used for someone riding around a field in France- however it`s called the world longtrack championship " is on FIM Longtrack Championship duty (for the day of the Meeting only; no facility is permitted for practice day " however in recent years teams have been granted facilities for riders not complying to above rule- ie David Howe and other Scunthorpe riders these have included longtrack team championships and practice days. What is sad is anyone complaining that their team was caught attempting to break rules. I thought only Starman would be so foolish to do that.. Most other Poole fans have accepted the right decision was made and moved on.. these threads only drag on when folk try and defend the indefensible!
