mikebv
Don't understand the EL v PL racing debate to be honest... Virtually every EL meeting has the majority of its riders from the PL so surely the two leagues' racing cannot be that much different as its delivered by mainly the same people..?
LisaColette
Well Ellis is more likely to stay on the bike for 4 laps. But Poole haven't been to BV yet, so hard to know who is better there.
Steve0
No never seen Ellis ride poorly!! How did Ellis do in the British Under 21 final and the World Under 21 final please. in the British final he came 3rd, Bates was on his home track, in the world U21 he was riding 18 days after breaking his collarbone, he did pretty well to hang on at all ! but you knew that anyway Why are you talking about Ellis? Don't recall seeing him on a bike tonight'! (By the way - Ellis is the only choice for the U21 reserve spot in the SWC) Well done the Roobins - although the Bees were pretty poor (Harris excepted) Edited July 4, 2016 by Steve0
stevebrum
not 100 x better. better yes but far worse than the Glasgow meeting as I said good and bad in both leagues and tonight was dross. I recorded it on sky plus and pretty much fast forwarded after the first lap Highly debatable either way. Berwick was a farce of the highest order. Tonight was similar to Glasgow, although I preferred the Glasgow match as the first 4 heats were entertaining. A couple if decent scraps tonight with heat 15 superb. Tigerite
Regarding Bates v Ellis, Whoever rides Belle Vue the best should be picked regardless of previous results, it should be horses for courses !!! Starman2006
So there you have it. You admit you were trolling by telling an untruth. Your hatred continues. Long may we continue to laugh at you and not with you. Is your arse jealous at the amount of crap that comes out of your mouth? Steve lets see if he is still laughing come October ...Kyle has spent most of the season on the sidelines and Adam has not faired much better, once our full team get meetings under our belt you will see a different picture. But dear old Gavin will still crab us no matter what.. And by doing so its the only way he will be accepted by the few on here.. It would help if Poole had ridden there, so you could get an idea how Ellis would do.
SharpenRake
Just checking this is the Swindon Coventry thread? Anyway what a difference on sky tonight seeing 2 elite teams riding. can't understand why PL fans say there league is better when you can watch riders in the EL like danny King, Josh G and Rohan Tungate who all impressed tonight. Also good to see some Polish riders, you don't get them in the PL and certainly not riding at reserve. And the team managers, absolute quality comments from both of them.
Gavan
Spud it matters not. Master Ellis has been touched by the Poole rubbishty stick and thats it as far as Gavan is concerned. Nothing against young master Bates (sorry couldn't resist that one) but Adam is a better all round rider. Bates is known as a gater and it was a gaters paradise tonight. Gated in his first but was awol after that. When you consider Adam beat Andreas Johnson on his home patch on Friday it shows the difference. Anyway back to the meeting thread and Coventry are still crap an hour after the meeting ended. So there you have it. You admit you were trolling by telling an untruth. Your hatred continues. Long may we continue to laugh at you and not with you. Is your arse jealous at the amount of crap that comes out of your mouth? lol what on earth are you wittering on about troll? I asked you how Bates did in the british and world under 21 finals? I knew it was his home track and Adam had just returned so please tell me what lie I told you are nothing but a sad sad man. you have some speedway knowledge unlike the forum d1ckhead who no doubt will be along in a minute , but you let yourself down with your blue tints. Such a shame as Poole have decent fans but are let down by you trolling and starman just being a t0sser
damosuzuki
Up to heat 10 and the racing is poor. Please never scrap the edr in favour of foreign learners. Coventry's pole is meant to be one of the best and he is the worst arguably the worst rider in the el. I'd give the guy a break but watching him mugging behind a desperately dissapointed Gary Havelock was terrible. After his team were pumped and clearly not giving a damn. Poole at Belle Vue is a very interesting fixture given the track. I think a few of the Poole team will look forward to that.

Also good to see some Polish riders, you don't get them in the PL and certainly not riding at reserve. And the team managers, absolute quality comments from both of them. More teams so greater variety. Far more fixtures and no month-long gaps in the season. Until recently far fewer rider absences. Lack of a contrived racing formula and the illogical movement of riders within a team based on false averages. No fear that the league's membership is about to collapse. The lack of feeling that the league is run for the benefit of one club. The gap in standard from 1-7 far more even than in the EL, thus more even racing without the majority of races being split in half. No EL snob supporters. A more relaxed and friendly environment. Greater co-operation between promotions. Sadly it has caught the EL's disease of frequent absences. Of course the EL has names. Up to heat 10 and the racing is poor. Please never scrap the edr in favour of foreign learners. Coventry's pole is meant to be one of the best and he is the worst arguably the worst rider in the el. Woryna is certainly not regarded as one of the best in Poland. He is one of the compulsory u-21 reserves that include youngsters such as Pieszczek who won the World u-21 at King's Lynn, Przedpelski, Cyfer and Nowak, not to mention Zmarzlik who's in the GP series. Add in all of the many Poles in the main teams over there such as Janowski, Dudek, Protasiewicz, the Pawlicki brothers, Zengota, Miedzinski, Jedrzejak, Kasprzak and Hampel he's a long way down the ratings, riding for a minor club, Rybnik. Trees
Give Woryna a break he has been thru a lot this season(hand injury, incident with Rempala).Riders have to be robots at times in the eyes of some fans .... Swindon is nearky all about gating, can't wait for the new track. Edited July 5, 2016 by Trees
Bee 26
Both poles awful last night, Woryna should have been replaced weeks ago when we had the points to use. No ambition from the management to make changes and are just happy to see the season out even if that means being bottom of the table. A ORLOV
Good but predictable result, Coventry need to get a decent number 1. Nick Morris needs to sort out whatever his problem is before we meet the top teams, especially away. Now we need to do the same on thursday against Wolves.
marko
Poor track prep ruined this meeting, really bugs me that in this day and age its all about getting a meeting on rather than providing quality racing, its like going into a restaurant and being served under cooked food than being told, well its better than no food at all, yeah but thats not what we pay for. I also don't get the whole EL vs PL thing, both can provide good racing and poor meetings, close meetings and one sided meetings, I've supported Arena Essex/Lakeside in effectively all three levels of competition down the years and whilst I love having guys like Andreas Jonsson and in the past Leigh Adams and Mark Loram in my team, my preference is actually for the PL, simply because its more meetings on a regular basis against more varied opponents.
jim3751
Who said the track wasn't as normal? Whatever, if you gate you win, if you don't you lose. Sedgeman who was good all night is outgated and he's at the back and can't even get close. The only way to pass was to bust a gut which Harris did against a second string. Dreadful stuff but compliments to Nigel and Kelvin for trying to talk it up. PS And well done Kelvin for referring to the Poole win at Lakeside as though he'd read the result somewhere
Woz01
Woryna just has to go not only for his poor performances but for being an absolute idiot behind Havvy while we were getting stuffed, highly unprofessional. Also need a temporary replacement for Garrity, come on Horton sort it out!
