Kings Lynn V Belle Vue

Recommended Posts

Looked a standard EL crowd to me 1000+

Mads is not a heat leader these days and this format takes no prisoners

Turns 1-2 which are normally the busiest areas was very thin on the ground last night imo

OK meeting last night and right from Heat1 could see it would be difficult for the Aces. Zagar did his usual last place but Worrall looked on the pace. The Aces were simply too slow off the start. A few things I picked out were Heat 3 where Nicholls jumped a little early but ref let it go as he was at the back, then in Heat 10 I think it was, Batchelor did exactly the same but the ref called it back, curious.

Iversen looked very quick, as did Zagar at the end. For the Aces, simply too slow off the start but Steve Worrall impressed. For Lynn, Batch was Batch - make the start and win, don't make it, last. R Lambert was also tardy off the gate but took advantage of Aces' mistakes/lack of speed but the stand out for Lynn was Rose. Loked very quick and made some quality passes, best I've seen him ride. Meeting was closer at the end than it felt like, which seems odd to say. Lemon made a big mistake not using the TR when he could have in Heat 6 and Fricke was complete road block in 14, if he'd have looked he could have let Scott just get ahead on the outside as Lambert was buzzing around - it could've been a 3-3 and a point for the Aces but he didn't and once Lambert got under him he passed Fricke easily.

Good result for Lynn and Rory will make then stronger.

Enjoyed my first Elite meeting this year.Stars off to a great start with the Aces slow out of the traps so never looked like losing. Impressed with Rose last night and pleased to see Troy in better form.NKI and Robert did the business as did Simon at reserve. I was obviously interested in how NBJ went on his debut.....give him time and he will be ok. As others have said Made was poor.Too many Aces not quite on it tonight.

I'm pretty sure we only need to win most of our home meetings to qualify for the play offs so under normal circumstances I'd have this down as one of those meaningless meetings for Belle Vue. The new stadium makes relying on home meetings a bit tricky but I still think we'll achieve 52 points even with a couple more home defeats.

So while Cook and Fricke were testing for the GP qualifier at least one team had something worthwhile to race for last night.

That's pretty much out of the Steve Shovlar top drawer

What utter guff

Correct if the playoff is for the wooden spoon

Good meeting last night, really enjoyed it.There were a few noisy Belle Vue fans behind us which was great to hear and see.

The racing was good with plenty of overtakes.Thought the best races were from the PL boys especially the one with S.Worrall and Rose doing battle.Lambert having to do his usual form the back races.I do wish he can learn to gate to get up with the big boys some day.

Before the meeting didnt think we could win this one,but i did expect a bit more from Belle Vue to be honest.Still a win is a win.

Downside Mads,he is doing his usual start the season well and then gradually fade away as the season goes on.Does he maintain his bikes/engines as the season goes on?Personally i would get rid while he is on his highish average,if there is anyone wishing to ride over here that is.

Mom Lewis Rose,excellent.

Tbf you'd expect mads to be a very good 2nd string but a poor hl, and that's what he's been. If u replace him, surely it's with rory ?

credit where credit due - Stars were SO much better this week :t:

certainly helps to have 3 heatleaders for a change - keep it up Troy! Plus an awesome performance from Lewis and another good show from Simon and we never looked like losing a match

i was sure we'd lose!!

NBJ had an ok debut with plenty of effort for little return and same for Mads who looked far too slow :/

Actually looking forward to our next home meeting now lol

Mads seems to do this most of the time to what i can remember. He was easily beaten by Fricke and Worrall last night both 2nd strings on his home track. He does always seem to tail off the longer the seasons go on.

I'm sure I read at the beginning of the season Mads had only 1 van and 4 bikes to do England, Poland,Sweden,Denmark and was on a shoestring budget. Don't hold me to it but I'm sure that's what I read on his Twitter. If you look he does not have many sponsors either unlike most Danes. As I said in another post with Rory back practising he must be waiting for the dreaded phone call to say he's dropped

The sooner the better in my opinion cannot keep carrying him

Sorry I missed you Alan! I also missed another Panthers fan I know well too. Nice to see a few of you come over to visit. After all, quite a few of our fans pop over to your place. Myself included. Glad you enjoyed the night :D
