stevebrum
I have checked the rules and as far as I can see, it only says that top 8 in the overall classification are qualified. It does not have anything specified for a scenario where a substitute rider finishes top 8. http://www.fim-live.com/en/library/download/57331/no_cache/1/ Kildermand was a replacement in 2015. Haven't checked the rules myself but TV made a big issue of him or Chris Holder getting into the top 8. If freddie makes the top 8 this season then his place his valid. Kildemand would have made the top 8 at the end of last season if he had managed to overall Holder, so it's no difference going forward. Ghostwalker
He has been practising today at Vetlanda's track. https://www.facebook.com/elitvetlanda/photos/a.386239436218.165368.355009296218/10153986619506219/?type=3&theater
PHILIPRISING
I THINK he has been practicing for some time. It what happens when he hits the first corner with three other riders that is playing on his mind.
OveFundinFan
Maybe he will achieve the heights he was at, but personally, I think he will find it difficult, very difficult getting their quickly. If I was him I would be tempted to forget about the gps this year and just concentrate on racing in "normal" matches.

If I was him I would be tempted to forget about the gps this year and just concentrate on racing in "normal" matches. It would be pointless for Hampel to come back and go straight into SGP. Maybe a year away from the GP`s, or trying to get back in by doing next years qualifiers would suit Hampel better.
OveFundinFan
I agree screm, but there has not been any announcement at all as to what is intended. Strange
Ghostwalker
Hampel won't ride for Vetlanda this year though since they only have one meeting remaining.
Ghostwalker
Hampel have decided to withdraw from the remaining GPs this season. http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2016/08/22/sgp-hampel-utgar-resten-av-sasongen-lindgren-ersatter/ http://speedwaygp.com/news/article/5149/hampel-withdraws-from-sgp-2016 Edited August 23, 2016 by Ghostwalker

Triple.H.
Good news Jarek finally returned tonight, scoring 9+2, finishing with two race wins. Good to see him back even if no doubt he is below his normal stahdard any news on him getting a WC for next year ?
Steve Shovlar
Seems harsh but he shouldn't get a wildcard. A year out is a long time and he needs to prove himself. Younger riders with perhaps more appetite about now.

Sotonian
I agree with Steve. Any rider already awarded a WC should not get another one the following season regardless of circumstances.
waiheke1
I would have no issue with him getting a wc, but fact is there will likely be 5 poles already in the series, so there is no way he will be given a wildcard.
