TheScotsman
And so the guest farces continue. No wonder folks are abandoning the sport in droves.
Gazc
Edinburgh Team change off riding order 1 Sam Masters © 2 Mark Riss 3 Erik Riss 4 Ryan Fisher 5 Kevin Wolbert 6 Max Clegg 7 Dan Bewley And so the guest farces continue. No wonder folks are abandoning the sport in droves. Been like that for years think we would all like to see our own 1 - 7 every week its a strange one signing Bach if he is going to be unavailable on a Friday 3rd meeting we have had since he signed and he will have missed 2 of those. TheScotsman
My gripe is triple sided. (Not sure how that works though!!) Firstly the sheer number of guests. Secondly that some riders seem to be absent as often as they turn up. Thirdly that guests very often are of a higher standard at a particular venue than the missing rider. To be honest the whole way speedway is careering down the abyss has just jarred me off with the sport. Maybe there will be a revolution next year. Maybe not. Will anyone be left to care by then? Maybe not. So Doolan will score more than Bach would have - am I now bovvered? Nah. Did Palm Toft score a fraction of what Erik would have scored at Plymouth last week? Nah. Totally agree don't know how Bach goes round Armadale but Doolan is handy so it may be relevant to the final outcome. My thoughts are if you are going to sign a rider then he must have ridden for there club a minimum off 6 meetings for a guest facility as in this case were Bach has missed more than he has ridden we get a rider who performs well mostly at that venue. It is equally frustrating for us that we turn up to see our new signing only to learn he will be missing again.

Have to agree, your just turning up to the hope you see a good meeting between select sides nowadays,if you can be bothered now! I couldn't care who wins what trophy nowadays. My teams results relies on good guests these days. Edited June 22, 2016 by Fromafar
damosuzuki
How many teams does Bach ride for now - it looks to me he rides in Poland for a start(?) and Denmark, maybe Sweden!? Unfortunately we were probably pushed into this situation by circumstances but agree I'd much rather be seeing our full 7.

cyclone
Esbjerg also have an away meeting scheduled for next Wednesday, so expect Bach to miss the Sky derby too. Edited June 22, 2016 by cyclone

Mr Blobby
All in the best interest of British speedway obviously. Strange that they were even allowed to sign him considering the amount of meetings it seems he's going to miss
TheScotsman
Is Woffie available to guest for them next week?
Solidmango
Edinburgh never used guests? You were crying about Palovarra guesting against you last week and that was going to cost you the points and this week it's Doolan. Maybe if you had a decent team you wouldn't need to worry about other teams choice of guests especially as the choice of guest has a lower average than the rider he's replacing.
