Well done British Champ Danny King!

Lets hope the weather is kinder than it has been for both teams. Newcastle have raced 4 away fixtures in a row without a home meeting a typical British summer eh?

Ipswich

1. Danny King
2. James Sarjeant
3. Nico Covatti
4. Morten Risager
5. Ben Barker
6. Paco Castagna
7. Danyon Hume

Newcastle
1. Robert Lambert
2. Viktor Palavaara riding in Sweden so R/R
3. Matej Kus
4. Ludvig Lindgren riding in Sweden so Guest Stuart Robson
5. Steve Worrall
6. Lewis Rose
7. Danny Phillips
8. Connor Mountain Guest from Mildenhall
It is of interest to Diamonds fans that Connor is named at number 8 I expect the promoters are checking him out as a possible replacement for Danny Phillips whom is having diffilculties picking up points in the Premier League

The overnight forecast is dismal - infact i was considering spending this afternoon building an ark!!

Tomorrow by mid morning should be clear (but always with the chance of further isolated downpours) so with a bit of luck missing those there should be time to sort things out.

I dont think the disjointed home fixtures has helped the team.

Fingers crossed its on and despite all the angst on here im sure everyone will be behind the boys come race time.

I think that lack of interest might be down to the dross that's been served up the majority of the season, with the ever dwindling support disappearing on a weekly/fortnightly basis. (little dig at disjointed fixtures)

I know at least one or two that have had enough!

Question is, will there be anyone left attending the stadium when the plans for 2017 finally become common knowledge or actually realised?

As for me, I'll be there weather permitting where I predict a narrow home win if some of the riders get their arses in gear and the track is well prepared.

Mind you, whilst we continue with such poorly scoring reserves I fear it only needs 1 main team rider to have a bad night and we're stuffed!

Hopefully the forecast will become a bit clearer tomorrow, as we all know, no forecaster can predict storms with any certainty. With no footy on the telly and the pleasure of Newcastle's No1 fan to keep me company I'll be heading for Foxhall after I've voted.

Only my 3rd visit this season, but if the BSPA implement all these new ideas for next season then I'll become a regular again.

I assume that Danny will parade his trophy before the meeting, not that he really feels like a Witches rider to me, more of a Bee than a Witch. Roll on next season!!

Right now taps with all that rain we've just had over night and in fact still chucking it down as I write this building an Ark looks a very good idea .

If this continues coming down at its current rate must surely put tonight meeting in jeopardy .

What's Foxhall like for drainage ?
