Yearbyred
As a person who has been critical of how weak the Bears team is this year I actually think this is one meeting where they have a chance to put in a decent away performance. Â Bellego and Skidmore are ex Tigers, Lasse and Jonas have ridden well there in the past and Sheffield are running R/R for one of their best home riders. Â Might be totally wrong of course but no reason to expect a complete walk over as some are predicting.

Steve55
Got to agree with the above post, some decent riders in the Bears team, if they perform, well it could be close. With Garrity missing that's 14 or 15 points we would probably get, going on his last two home performances, so some fans may be being a little over confident.

Wilkinson got Jonas , we will lose massively there , Lambert for Nielson , we may gain a point or 2 here . Overall it will be a triumph to keep Sheffield to 55 . . graz gp
I have a feeling it's going to be a lot closer than people think. The Bear's have some riders that go well at Owlerton. But they have to be on the gas from the start to stand any chance. I am looking forward to a good match.
spin king
Certainly won't be a walkover. Â It is made even more harder without Jason Garrity who is flying at the moment. Â End of the day as long as we score more points than the Bears then I will be happy.
damosuzuki
This has 50-40 written all over it. I've taken the wife's wages out the bank and piled in.

Given the problems Sheffield had (R/R then losing Bates) slightly underwhelming performance from the Bears.  FTG seems to have been rider of the night. Cubsforever
Don't believe all you see on the updates site. There was some very close racing in several heats and how often do you see Mr.Stead get beaten around his own track? If Bears No.1 had actually scored like a number 1, Tigers might have had major problems.

Yeah, they were "close" to passing sometimes through the race, but it's still just as boring to watch. And that's all that meeting was, an absolute boring drawn out meeting. tigerowl
skj is right. It was boring, yet again. Â I've had to miss the occasional meeting due to work but I've yet to see a decent meeting all year. I left before heat 15 last night as I was fed up of standing around. In 120 minutes we had 14 heats - that's 14 minutes of watching racing and 106 minutes of hanging about watching tractors, people messing round with starting gates and reading the (excellent) programme for the 100th time. Â I don't know what's wrong with the track but it's like watching the rubbish churned out at Hull a few years ago.

Have to agree, those who said they were staying away were very wise, although I have to say not because the match was one sided - whilst never looking like winning the Bears put up a decent performance, but personally I think it was the least entertaining meeting I have ever seen at Sheffield (not a regular visiter due to Thursday clashes) but very much ftg with only a handful of passes.  Best wishes to josh Bates, good job he didn't need ambulance attention quickly with the farce of going right round track then trying to demolish tapes! Skid Sprocket
May I suggest that if you have such a job and if you are contributing here as part of that job that you really should be using your real name rather than hiding behind a pseudonym? That goes to all others in such a situation here. Surely it's only fair that people are able to distinguish between those posting as supporters and those posting as part of their job? Believe it! Sly Fox has such a job and when does having such a job stop you being a supporter and give you any less rights than anyone else on here? It doesn't matter what your standing no one deserves the abusive post that was aimed at Sly Fox.
soupy
I have no real issues with people who work for the speedway& comment on here.To me it is a case of weighing things up before jumping in with both feet or shooting the poster down straight away.A little bit of research goes a long way& this is however not a dig at anybody& is my view.I have known a few come on here sometimes to tell it how it is or put there side of the story across. It should be attack the post not the poster.I know a few on here that post who are or have in past been with clubs Glynn Taylor,Phil Morris etc just to name a few but they are just the top of my head.My take is if they get paid or not they are keeping some clubs alive in this day& age which is a good thing as it can be a thankful task. I do not post on here as part of my position (would not call it a job it is more a labour of love). I post on here as a fan, like 99% of people on here i use a pseudonym as you put it. I would not have even said who I was if someone has not accused me of ass licking management. Why should I have to disclose who I am when there may be many people I know post on here under an assumed name & I do not know who they are. Works both ways.
graz gp
Why does it take so long to run 15hts of Speedway, and why have an interval with 3hts to go ?.
