King's Lynn V Coventry Bees (sky) Wed 22nd June

Recommended Posts

Think you need to listen to their comments back esp heat 15.

I listened to all their comments and they are correct.

Totally frustrating rider that you never know what you are going to get from race to race, meeting to meeting.

Doubt that's in dispute by anyone.

He had 4 great rides last night.

True. He is inconsistent, however, not many riders beat Lee Adams around Blunsdon. KK did it regularly tho'. He is still a class act as he proved last night when hunting down a current GP rider, in his own back yard, off the wrong gate, gave him a start and a beating.

On to last night, one and three a big advantage all night and Bees used that to good effect in later heats. Overall they showed more desire than KL.

Nice to see that Batch's ability to throttle off as he enters the corners hasn't changed. If only Rob Lyon had listened to the Swindon fans....

Pretty obvious that he has no desire to ride in the UK and rather than having the diginty to drop his place he's basically taking the pi$$. Probably has his worse engine/bike over here as well and just going through the motions. Surely the promoters should just drop him from his position rather than let this carry on any longer.

I think that you are missing the point with Batchelor. He was badly affected by his crash in the first meeting of the season at the Abbey. It was obvious when he returned that he had lost his confidence & nerve. OK when he gated but if he was left at the gate, he was not prepared to take any risk to pass any other riders. Then the tragic accident to Darcy visibly affected him. I just wonder if he will ever be the rider he was again.

Never ever see KK using wide lines like he did last night spec heat 15 he was really thinking about his racing.

What a fantastic night of racing, some great action. Full credit to track staff and riders alike for that show.

It was, speed watched it, but where was the crowd?

Televising these matches can be doing any good!

So often in televised meetings the crowd's out of sight of the cameras on the home straight. That said the crowds obviously stay home but then the promotion do get compensation from Sky theoretically to cover it.

It does suggest that it's dangerously easy for people to decide to stay home - could it be the price is too high?

We had it thirty years ago on Screen Sport - people at the studio joking there were no crowds. We told them we couldn't force people to move round the track - instead we deliberately tried to show the home straight crowd views, say in the background of interviews.

He rode like that at Vue as well. When he's in the mood he truly is one of the best in the world to watch.

I should think Lynn and Vue will be hoping to sign him next year after we fold. Bomber too probably but suspect he'll go to Wolves.

Wolves wouldn't put up with his half hearted attempt to race at times.

Thank god.

Even Nigel and Kelvin commented all night on how frustrating he is which was my point.

He rode well, doesn't mean that his next match won't be poor naturally.

It's a sign of desperation when you have to like your own post because no-one else does.

I suggested that Harris would be a Wolves target.

Half hearted is one thing he could never be described as.

KK would naturally be a target for a club with a less fiddly track.

Harris would be wanted by any team in the EL due to him being a popular rider.

KK however would be a risk for any team big or small track.

Rob I dont subscribe to the fact that GBP16 is overpriced, just paid GBP80 for some average concert seats. Its the easy accessability on TV that is the issue, and the fact that you have to hang around for > than 2 hours to see 16 minutes of action, the setee looks a good option!
