topsoil
In an idea world I would like to see all Sky matches free admission, with money from TV and a match sponsor meeting costs. That way, attendance are likely to be far bigger for the cameras and the sponsor gets more exposure. I'm sure Sky would let the sponsor in on the act with things like the coin toss, again more exposure. The free entry might attract a few new fans and would certainly add to the atmosphere. Like I say, this would be an ideal world, I have no idea how much money TV brings in towards meeting costs. mdmc82
And they are potentially going to be battling with the England match I love speedway but I also love the football and as its not my own team on, I will be watching the England game. topsoil
And they are potentially going to be battling with the England match Will probably affect the crowd numbers, just like the Edinburgh match a couple of weeks ago. The biggest crowd I've seen at a Lakeside meeting live on Sky was when it was free entry I remember that and I thought at the time it was a great advert for the sport, a big crowd, it would look far better for TV than wide open spaces on the terraces and it gives would be sponsors huge exposure. It also provides an excellent atmosphere for fans and riders alike. And if the majority of them don't return, so what, some might. But the whole impression of a full stadium does wonders for the image of the sport when it comes to attracting sponsors, new fans and renewing TV deals.

Shadders
And avoid social media outlets too It's a no brainer. Record the speedway and watch the football. Speedway is the perfect sport to watch back, just fast forward through the waffle until they're at the tapes. Simple
Bandit59
As they have known about sky for ages think they could have given regulars an extra ticket at say the last 2 or 3 home matches to be redeemed for cheaper entry

One on TV and the other on iPad/laptop, although if it wasn't the England game I would of just went to the speedway and recorded the match

scaramanga
most other tracks have had offers on when skys been there wonder why berwick havnt tried to swell the crowd rather than give people more reason to stop at home and watch on tv
RobMcCaffery
And avoid social media outlets too Obviously. If you can't put the mobile phone or stay away from the pc for a couple of hours you're in a pretty desperate situation. I can one up you, I'm going to watch both! One on TV and the other on iPad/laptop, although if it wasn't the England game I would of just went to the speedway and recorded the match Is it really about being 'one up'? If so, how very sad. Â I regularly watch several things at once on the pc, taking the commentary on the event that I'm more interested in. When like on Monday there are two events that I want to focus on fully I simply watch one after the other. Is that such a difficult concept? Â It does seem that people make their lives complicated just for the sake of saying how complicated life is.... Â It is simple - watch one, record the other and watch it later, avoiding social media until you've watched both. Of course if that's too complex for you then nobody's stopping you screwing up your evening. It would be a shame if the Bandits suffered from such stupidity though. Â If you've got the facilities to watch two (or three or four for that matter) at once, then why not? Some people don't have the time to watch things 'later' and/or would rather watch them live. Â It's a personal choice. Yours just so happens to be different to his. Why knock it?
