screm
thanks for that r and r . us workington fans can now enjoy the meeting over and over again . plus all the jump starts and how willie made what looked like a good meeting on sky , turn into a farce by issuing warnings from heat 1 . then had to let a few go , otherwise there would have been a full line up of reserves in some races .. come on willie . do the rules correct or dont do them at all . ruined what racing there was .. but , congrats to berwick and the hole on the 2nd bend . square peg in a round hole ! As a Workington fan it may be a case of enduring and not enjoying your teams performance the other night. You should be grateful there wasn't a full line up of reserves in more races, the Workington reserves were next to useless so the score might've been bigger in Berwick`s favour. Just dont get it with these jump starts, if you dont touch the tapes then there is no infrigement therefore let the race continue, if you touch the tapes then excluded and a reserve comes in, it really is that simple.

You`d like to think so wouldn't you, but there`s nothing like speedway to make a nonsense of what should be a simple and straight forward rule. Going by this simple rule the only rider that should've been excluded was Pijper, who was actually the only one who touched the tapes, the others should've been let go.

But there is an infringement. You have to stay still at the tapes. Just how difficult is it??

If a rider jump starts he was probably moving, that is an infringement, if he was still , then it was perfect anticipation
stevebrum
if you think the elitte league is that good consider 1 thing would it exsist without all the national league and prem league riders that are bailing the clubs out Seriously? How on earth do you think the PL would survive without the EL riders doubling up? its a British Speedway problem, NOT any one league so looks like you need to open your eyes a little wider! To The Point
I do, and caused just as much hold ups as they do today. Get rid of the tapes, and replace it with a starting gate.
MD
Get rid of the tapes, and replace it with a starting gate. Sarjeant would need an endless supply of front wheels!
stevebrum
Get rid of the tapes, and replace it with a starting gate. Nothing wrong with the tapes, just the riders behind them!
Shale Searcher
If that's the case, how come at Pardubice which is longer than Berwick and much wider, the final is decided over 6 laps. Lots of riders now use these stubby, cut-down tanks, so its a self inflicted fuel drought towards the end of a race....
