gazzac
Dugard hasn't gone backwards! He's riding number 2 against good riders and scoring 7 or 8 each week so I can't see how he's gone backwards. I think the move away has done him good and he didn't seem unhappy yesterday. Agree I think he may have moved on a bit. I seem to remember last season when all the riders were interviewed one question was who moaned the most they all said Kelsey (which he moaned about when interviewed! ), so perhaps although he may have looked unhappy to be back was probably his normal demeanour! Shadders
Hunters post is pretty much spot on. Raiders are riding on the coat tails of the feel good factor around Rye this year. To accommodate Branford, Morley and Priest it was necessary to have the rest of the side made up with three pointers. Not ideal unless they are of the calibre of Bewley, Parkinson-Blackburn etc... Not sure how long the Rye faithful will keep paying to watch it. Only excitement is when Branford missed the gate, otherwise it's mostly tedious. Unfortunately George Hunter has been plagued by injury all season and the other three have shown little or no improvement. Kenny Bowdery has drawn the short straw and has been at number 2, very tough for him. I'd love to be more positive, but I'm struggling to drum up much enthusiasm Edited June 19, 2016 by Shads
ruckerroo
As you say shadders, them 3pt riders who show promise in year 1 2015 are in clover for next season at reserve for a fair while. Hence why brummies are so strong again. Hunters the only raider with real promise but injurys have done for him.
GWC
They need more track time and to experience different types of track surfaces as they struggled to turn the bike on a heavy track. Some second half racing would help as it did for previous Raiders.

waco
Lots of meetings for the Raiders in July,if we are going to see any improvement in these Rookies regular meetings that to a point should sort out who has potential and who does not,,. TurnTwo
In all honesty: Bowdery - I see no improvement maybe if he was at reserve otherwise no. Locke - I have seen little improvement on rare occasions Hunter - very strong gater just very irratic with his riding style Leek - I see no further improvement in leek unfortunately

waco
I think it is pretty unanimous that we dont see any improvement at the present time in these lads,,We certainly seem to have drawn the short straw in Rookies this season
Sings4Speedway
I think it is pretty unanimous that we dont see any improvement at the present time in these lads,,We certainly seem to have drawn the short straw in Rookies this season Sadly for Raiders fans its not straws that have been drawn its riders selected with little / no experience that has hurt you. It should't be the case that riders are heading for the tapes to take part in their first speedway race in NL meetings. Locke & Bowdrey were signed as Grasstrackers were in favour again at the start of the season assuming they would be like Georgie Wood (well they are not on the grass and certainly not on the shale). Hunter deserves more time as he has ability but building a team with him at 4 is crazy. It might be too soon for Leek & where has Banks disappeared? There were riders in the pipeline that would have made the Raiders a very potent side but the new promotion wanted to put their own stamp on things and must stand by their decisions.....
