Alan_Jones
I'm not sure, haven't seen it posted anywhere. George looked fit enough lapping after last week's meeting, even though he was still limping beforehand. He's his own worst enemy and wants to get back on a bike before he's fully fit more often than not, like a lot of riders.
hackneyrocket
Unlucky to the Raiders tonight. If only ours top three had some backup. I know the younger lads need to learn, but the promotion need to do something to improve the side. No body likes to watch your team get beat or ride in such a team.
Shadders
Good point for a 3 man team. Too many falls from the other 4. Need more time at training school. Locke, Bowdery & Leek aren't good enough for NL yet. Hunter hardly rode due to injury.
waco
Soul destroying for our top three,To ride so consistantly well meeting after meeting with little or no back up from riders who are just not good enough at this stage,, I see little improvement in any of them ,though Hunter may come good eventually ,,Time for a change starting with Bowdery... stevec
Just asking but can you expect much more than that from a bottom four when you have 3 top heat leaders like that? Pretty much the hardest Eastbourne have been pushed all season.

TurnTwo
In all fairness rye deserved the point but take 8 points off and add them to Adam Ellis and I think you'll have a more realistic score
GWC
A heavy track that reduced most of the races to follow the leader and proved difficult to turn unless the turns were attacked. Fair result that could have gone Rye's way but for falls especially Hunter when leading heat 3. No doubt Eastbourne will say Greenwoods return was at least 7 less than Ellis would have scored. Apart from heats 13 & 15, heat advantages are a rare commodity. Heat 8 is almost always a write off. It's difficult to keep the enthusiasm going and even though I'm less than 5 minutes drive from Rye I really don't know if I'll find the enthusiasm to go to any more Raiders meetings. I haven't seen any improvement in the four struggling lads, who I'm sure are trying their best, but that's the problem. If that's their best then...

Really enjoyed watching the Raiders last year, unfortunately same can't be said for this.
Hunters
Disappointing night last night. Ben Morley and Rob Brandford untouchable, out and gone whilst the other four usually trailing or on the deck. Not a decent race until heat 15. For me this was the worst match since joining NL, smallest crowd as well so they obviously anticipated it. What a shame Adam Ellis was missing there would have been 4 cracking good races I am sure, though I have to say Jake Knight tried his heart out and made the big two keep on their toes and his ride in 15 was just reward for his efforts. Â I can understand Raiders supporters disappointment but at least they do have another team. I said at the start of the season that they were too top heavy and would be challenging for the wooden spoon. You just cannot do that unless you are pretty sure you have some secret fire power at reserve like Birmingham have for the last two seasons. Â Different philosophies will also apply, the four 'Reserve Teams' prime function is to develop young riders to move into the first team and hopefully provide a bit of support revenue to cover stadium costs. The stand alone clubs have to make attendance the priority in order to survive. To do that they have to adopt the Win,Win,Win attitude so often complained about because that's what the majority of the paying public want nowadays. This applies to pretty much all modern sport. Football is a prime example I wonder what the average tenure is for a Premier League manager?
iand
Last year Rye had Hume,Bowtell and Hunter all 3pointers, who fell off countless times but did show improvement as the season went on and were entertaining to watch. Not seen the Raiders this year as moved away from the area but follow them on updates and the improvement isn't coming through at the moment and can understand the fans frustration. mrscambelt
Not a bad meeting last night. Was pushed close by a very weak side on paper but had some fight in them, Dugard seemed less than happy to be back and looked as if he had gone backwards. Powell looked better and safer. Harris seemed to have no fire in his belly jake knight was the master again keeping it going. Georgie wood very hot and cold. Â Crowd seemed to be as normal for NL due to the fact bottom of the table team. Â Impressed with Branford and Morley but the rest of rye house need a little help. Alex2000
Dugard hasn't gone backwards! He's riding number 2 against good riders and scoring 7 or 8 each week so I can't see how he's gone backwards. I think the move away has done him good and he didn't seem unhappy yesterday. gazzac
I think Charley Powell is beginning to be the unsung hero of the team this season considering he couldn't stay on the bike for the first few meetings and hat's off to Connor and Martin who could see he had speed and could work on his technique.
