stevebrum
That would be because he started on a 5pt average whilst a lot of the others started much lower. After last night Howarth now has a 5.09 average which means Rose, Kerr and Starke will also be above him in next averages Yet Wright, who appears to have done well is below all of them. Bizarre. rainman
Very slick and smooth track last night which gave no fast outside line and obviously no rider mistakes so hardly any passing but still very close racing. Steve W mentioned that 'all the wet stuff had been taken off' which probably explains the conditions and there was a small chance of rain. Thanks to my excellent planning again I walked straight in during the rider parade, didn't notice any queues anywhere. The crowd looked similar to the first el meeting when there were delays due to queues, so I'm guessing the ticketing message has now got through. There were a few talking points. Not sure why wolves used a guest and RR when Masters was available other than it may have something to do with team declarations? When I found out Masters was actually at the meeting it really make a mockery of the situation. Whether wolves were stronger or weaker really isn't the point is it? Zagar was poor, pretty sure it was his bikes but that is part of the package and is no excuse in my book. Last year he got £3grand a meeting whatever he scored, does anyone know what he gets this season? If it's a similar deal he was on nearly £grand/point last night! Best meeting of the season from Jacobs, the slick conditions really worked for him. I wonder how much he earnt compared to Zagar. Was Lindgren excluded on two minutes? Did he go on the center green? The amber flashing light was still flashing as he rode to the gate suggesting (meaning?) the two minutes was still running and I didn't see him go on the center green myself. If not I'm sure the exclusion was incorrect which was followed by another discussion about going off 15m. Fricke was awesome again, tried everything to get round the impressive Thorssell in his only defeat. We are lucky that we can replace him with RR at Leicester tonight though. Nicholls unlucky to be excluded after a clear smack from Lindgren going into the first turn but Steve impressively stepped up again in the rerun. I noticed that they had moved the speakers around to improve the sound and it was pretty much perfect last night and the 'center green man' gave us a good interview with the manager which is the sort of stuff I want to hear between races. Not sure if nichills was unlucky to be excluded but should for sure get fined for cheating staying down n forcing a really run
stevebrum
Nothing bizarre about it. He hasn't done as well as the riders above him. Given how many were saying Wolves would clean up at reserve with the outstanding top EDR rider on experience of the EL alone he should have done better. Regards Wright on checking his scores he hasn't scored anywhere near as much as I thought. The 15+2 he scored against us probably clouded my judgement. The facts on this occasion appear to back that up.
Sidney the robin
Yet he is 4th on official edr averages , with only Worrall, Newman and Ellis above him. How? but you are right Steve looked at his scores Poole away 4 Last night, 2 and Lakeside away 4 for points apart from that he has not done too badly though forget Newman/ Ellis both of them have false figures. Notenoughnerve
Not sure if nichills was unlucky to be excluded but should for sure get fined for cheating staying down n forcing a really run What? Worrall was leading at the time. I was urging him to get off the track once it became clear the race was not being stopped, for that very reason. Odd sort of cheating!
Gavan
I nearly spat my coffee all over the keyboard.. Yeh very good Steve. You just cannot tell some people, and sadly there are some you just cannot converse with no matter what you do. Gavin, seems to have a blockage somewhere... Yep BV are favorites for the title. bless you as soon as Shovlar posts his little lapdog is there to back him up such a lovely couple And Belle Vue favourites for the title!!!! You chuckle brothers are either trolling (shovlar) or just thick (Starman) . Latest odds Poole are ODDS ON at 4/5 and Belle Vue 100/30. So how do you make Belle Vue favourites??? Oh no that's right you don't know what your talking about! If Poole don't win the league it's choking on a large scale
New Science
Wolves have to hope if they make the play offs they don't run into Belle Vue. With their emerging strength at home and some Monmore specialists take them to beat Wolves easily over 2 legs

If the Aces finish top,and having already won in Dorset, lets hope they pick the Pirates in the semi,s. Think Wolves will still make the play-offs,but the other spot likely to be between Lakeside and Swindon.

Looking at todays league table it may be 'squeeky bum time' for the team in fifth... Matches in hand are one thing, scoring points in them are another... Maybe we need an EGM to be called where this year the 'Top 5' qualify for the playoffs??? Or maybe should sudden injuries occur, a few meetings get postponed.. (in the interests of Speedway obviously)....☺

His starting average is a handicap not a benefit, as presumably he has a genuine tolling average, and his rolling average from last season is lower than his scores this year. He is fourth in averages of edr riders this season, below Worrell Newman and Ellis, though the likes of Starke and Wright have had spells at hl and average not much less than howarth.Personally think he is the most disappointing edr this year so far. Personally think he is the most disappointing edr this year so far. He started the season well, as did Wolves as a whole... but as his form has dropped, so has that of Wolves too. If he continues to struggle, Wolves won't make the play-offs in my opinion. Wolves have to hope if they make the play offs they don't run into Belle Vue. With their emerging strength at home and some Monmore specialists take them to beat Wolves easily over 2 legs This is why I believe Wolves were so fortunate that the opening home and away clashes with Belle Vue were postponed. A home defeat to open up with would have started the season on a downer and been difficult to recover form.. as it was some momentum was gained.. Monday will be very tricky, I see Aces winning at Monmore.
