HadrianDog
MEETING IS NOW POSTPONED just announced on Newcastle website. Cant really understand why it was left this late. Weather forecasted arrived as predicted, rarely do they get it wrong nowadays.
andys
Ffs!!! And if they had postponed earlier and the rain had not turned up, after all they do sometimes get the forecast wrong then you would have been on having a go at postponing to early!!!! HadrianDog
Ffs!!! And if they had postponed earlier and the rain had not turned up, after all they do sometimes get the forecast wrong then you would have been on having a go at postponing to early!!!! But would have saved on the prep time track wise, catering, stadium staffing not to mention the bus fares, petrol etc. The weather prediction was a 60% chance of rain by 1700 rising to 100% by 2000hrs. Hardly rocket science that the meeting's chances of completion were minimal at best. Add to that the potential risk to riders being washed out and or injured. I suspect that had we raced at home last week then this would have been pulled far earlier. It was just an forlorn hope to try and give the fans some home speedway and welcome back the lads who shone so brilliantly in the British Final last Monday. bringbackHalifax
Think it would have been called off earlier but Ipswich were here anyway so might as well give the weather the chance to defy the forecasters.

ellioth4
Yes, your right about the double header this sunday, just checked BSPA. Scunthorpe will be the opponent for both meetings in the KO Cup and League, starting at 5pm. Edited June 20, 2016 by Elliot Hunt
andys
Wonder wot will happen to the ppl like me who bought tickets online for Ipswich match, I can't see the admission prices being the same.
soupy
IF I remember the last double header I think it was £25 for the 2 matches but I could be wrong so do not quote me on this price.
Tsunami
Wonder wot will happen to the ppl like me who bought tickets online for Ipswich match, I can't see the admission prices being the same. I think the price for Sunday is £20, so with your readmission ticket you only need to add £4 to it. Sounds like good value.
