Shadders
Mitchell Davey now eligible for the NL. Hardly "up and coming". In fact he's been coming for a while and still hasn't arrived. Edited June 14, 2016 by Shads
TheScotsman
Mitchell has had a fair number of horrendous injuries.
DSC67
What like tony atkin and john Armstrong? Atkin & Armstrong are only racing in the NL though , they're not looking to top up their earnings with a few easy points , NL clubs should be limited to one rider "older" rider per team it's not as if Hall is a youngster is it ? Pretty sure Richard Hall would jump at the chance if one was offered. Edited June 14, 2016 by Shads

I didn't say he wouldn't jump at the chance of a PL place, I'm sure he would. If he did end up with a PL place then he wouldn't want the NL place. The point is he's not looking to "top up his earnings" as currently, as far as speedway is concerned, he hasn't got any earnings.

Was in place before due to the lack of riders plus keeping late starters out of team places. The likes of Ayres, Clifton, Tedam etc would be finished before they started. Najjer
How old were Mark Simmons & Seemond Stephens when they turned out for the Devils NL side in 2010? Â They went on to ride for them in PL after that too.
speed ace
IMHO it doesn't matter what Richards average is he shouldn't be allowed to ride in the NL because that's not why the league was set up , It's not supposed to be a fall back for riders who can't get a team in the PL it supposed to be about promoting youth nd getting them some expierence . Is there something wrong with trying to restore a riders confidence by riding at a lower level for a while, and in turn letting his opponents see how much they need to raise their game to get to the next level, it would also give them a sense of achievement when they beat them.
speedy bill
great to see so many people on Richards side, just what makes him any different from Bowen Wilson Atkin Arnstrong, Is there a vendetta on Richard HALL makes you think there are some strange people in around speedway

It' seems a bit outdated that he cannot ride in the national league based on a average from 2004, maybe he should get the chance to rebuild his confidence by being allowed to join Buxton. As it would give both parties a boost. Yes I would agree the league is there for young riders to develop but having a bit of experience In there would help to improve them and instil some confidence. Also has anyone looked at Buxton's results this season, played 8 lost 8 . How long before support starts dwindling away and another club goes to the wall . That's why I think in the best interests of British speedway he should be given the opportunity .

Greg
So what to say Richard Hall wont help the youngster ? next you will be saying no over 30s .
4thbender
So what to say Richard Hall wont help the youngster ? next you will be saying no over 30s . Richard Hall is perhaps past his best and approaching his sell-by date, but that doesn't mean he's got nothing to offer. The ease with which British speedway disposes of its former talent is frightening. Has anyone ever considered that the shortage of up-and-coming riders and the haste to push the older guys through the exit door might be related in some way?
Shadders
Maybe he turned down Buxton as they're a Sunday track and he already has weekend long track commitments

Dandelion
If only they could sign a load of Danish riders One extreme to another I think the rules should be at least 6 British riders, 2/3 of them newcomers or 3.00 riders and only 1 over 30 rider per team, to bring on the youth riders and 1 foreign rider allowed per team but must be part of the commonwealth or something? (Maybe Fox would have stayed in this country) so basically people like Mudgway, Branford and BWD (Not that he rides in the NL anymore) It'll make riders coming over to this country a little easier, like Mudgway who clearly deserves to ride in this country but wouldn't be allowed easily because of his nationality, also Etheridge could have dropped into the NL rather than travelling across the world just to do about 10 meetings, makes the world's talent want to come a ride in this country to bring in crowds which will bring in money which will keep speedway going!! I'd prefer to see good racing of Brits and foreigners rather than bad racing of only Brits, and that's why the crowds don't come
