diamond@heart
Think the side is nailed on already 1. Woffinden 2. King 3. Cook 4. Lambert 5. Ellis (u21) Think any other team and Rosco as manager must be questioned Drop Ellis and put in S Worrall and that would be my choice. I would note have King in the team but as British Champ probably gets a pick on that. If not I would opt for Garrity or Lawson, both young and racers with Garrity just shading it. No place for Nicholls and Harris in my opinion, Harris is rubbishe this year, linke most years and time to get rid of the old guard and nurture the up and coming. diamond@heart
Worrall is not under 21? Or are you dropping lambert to reserve? Wasn't aware it had to be an U21, would go for Bates then, if he is fit enough.
Gavan
I think they are 4a and 4b. Maybe they just pick whoever is going better at the time. Nicholls would probably score 4 or 5. King could score 10 or 0. For me, if you hope to win you need the 10 from King and hope you don't get the 0. On what basis do you have Nicholls scoring 4 or 5 and King 10?? King would be up against a quality that he has failed at before. One good meeting in tricky condiitons doesnt in my opinion put him automatically in the top 4 Wasn't aware it had to be an U21, would go for Bates then, if he is fit enough. should be Bates not Ellis. Bates finished 8th in a British Semi Final and is the current Under 21 British Champion beating both Ellis and Lambert. How Ellis deserves the spot ahead of Bates is beyond me

He most certainly isn't better than Lambert but got lucky in the final

How anyone could say put Bates before Ellis is beyond me. About opinion and in mine Ellis is a better rider all round Yes Bates is British Champ but that was around his home track. He most certainly isn't better than Lambert but got lucky in the final Absolutely. Bates knew the setup having ridden there most of his career. Ellis gated and went wide in the final to block Lambert, who was superb all night, and Bates came through up the inside and away. Ellis is much more refined and of the two but it matters not who is reserve they will not likely ride. Have an opinion by all means but dont go over the top I would put Bates in ahead of Ellis based on his performances in the British Semi Final qualifying for the British Final and actually winning rather than coming third in the British Under 21 Final. It may ' be beyond you' why i would choose Bates but then whats the point of being under 21 champion to get no reward for it?? Neither will score a point unless its gifted to them so give Bates the reward he deserves.
OveFundinFan
Gavan, what's the point of being British champion and getting no reward for it, yet you don't support King to be in the team.... see your post #

RPNY
Read Bombers comments in the Star this week, hats off to him very honest no self pity. It has to be Woffy Lambert Cook but after that not so sure. I guess Scotty if he's in good form for the next month. It pssed me off he didnt ride for us for the last 5 years but he's still probably the best option. King is a great guy and rode well in the BF but he's never cut the mustard at world level and he's been given a fair few chances. Agree with you, I think the last place is right now between King and Nicholls and at a push Harris though he will need one helluva month to force his way into our team. After that our reserve position should go to Josh Bates.

Being british champ was a great achievement but we need the best 4 we have and is that King? The reserve isn't an important position as whoever we choose isn't good enough so give that to someone who has earnt it

He had a huge advantage over the other riders in that respect. Had the final had taken place at a neutral track and he had still won it, then I could understand the argument. If the final had taken place at Poole and Ellis had won it, would you be saying Ellis should get the place on merit, as he won the title. If it had taken place at Poole Bates would not have got more than a handful of points at best. He is usually tailed off at the back. He scored 5 from six rides on his last visit. And before that 3 from 4. Edited June 16, 2016 by Steve Shovlar

For me i have Bates in front of Ellis i like both,i know Bates did not score many in the BF but he has improved his heat one effort was very good. Also i believe he is better bet at Belle Vue than Ellis more of a racer all about opinions i suppose. The only reason Bates would be in front of Ellis is because of Adams injuries. Otherwise i would have Adam.

Although why we should make the effort for bloody BSI to gain I'll never know ......... Whys that ? Track conditions change, and even if they had a practice session the conditions wouldn't be the same on the day, so would make the event a non starter. The only benifit it would have is for the riders to familliarise themselves with the whole track. And even that would be better than nothing...
