Lets hope they can pull out something special on the day....

There wont be a lack of effort or desire thats for sure.

Kennett is showing far better form than Cook but I guess Cook has done many more laps around this track.

Lets just hope its not humiliating and hope we don't finish well adrift in 4th. I will be there cheering on GB regardless of the result.

Would have been Bates at reserve for me but the other four pick themselves IMO. Hopefully Bates will be involved, like Worrall, for the experience.

Thought the idea was to pick the best, and Ellis is head and shoulders better than Bates.

One could also make the argument that S Worrall could have been picked above Cook, who has been pretty poor this year.

Kennett is poor around big cornered fast tracks, seen enough of him at Sheffield to know that.

I'd hardly say Eliis is head and shoulders above Bates considering Bates is 2x and current British Under 21 Champion and he is in front of Ellis in the World under 21 series this season despite carrying a shoulder injury in the first round at King's Lynn. Although I'm pleased Bates hasn't been picked as he will be available for Sheffield at Edinburgh on Friday now.

I agree about Steve Worrall and as he is on standby he may ride at practice and out ride C Cook, not sure if that happens if Rosco may make a last min change.

Ellis was riding with a broken collarbone at KL

Would have picked Bates myself as he's proven himself in the U21s and in becoming British U21 champion in the same meetings as Ellis.

However it's really just to make up the numbers as neither would do a lot if we have to use them.

Worrall was great at Brandon last night. Enjoyed watching him more than Cook

Lambert

Cook

Ellis under 21

S. Worrall as stand by

Best team we can put out to be honest.

agreed. Still half expected Bomber to be in given how much he usually raises his game for the WC and has rarely let us down.

Kennett has shown time and time again he is not the man you want under pressure. Plus besides Poole seems a small track pony in the EL. Plus he hasn't ridden at the National Stadium this year.

Ellis was riding with a broken collarbone in the World u21's at Lynn. Bates had home track advantage at Sheffield and only won, fairly it must be said, because Ellis had gated and was blocking the outside run of Lambert alowing Bates to go up the inside.

Doubt there would be a late change of mind. That would make Rosco look weak and indecisive.

As has been said, Ellis broke his collarbone a couple of weeks before Lynn and really should not have ridden.

Not a fan of Rossiter at all, but can't fault the team. He's definitely picked the correct 4.

It's now over to the riders to perform, and the BSPA to make sure we get every possible advantage out of being the home nation in terms of preparation for the meeting.

So if they are not allowed to practice in the seven days leading up to the event, what is the point of having a nss which is not being used? The squad should have been up there doing hundreds of laps by now.

As has been said, Ellis was carrying a broken collar bone. Ellis saw off Bates at Brandon last week and beat him easily on Wednesday. Ellis the right man if called upon.

Nailed on for 4th place without Bomber IMO..

Think that's a given but as long as we are not tailed off last we can't expect more.

Come on Team GB we can do what the Danes did a few years ago...........
