speedibee
No they have not which is something I have been surprised about. I agree with what you say that a practice should have been held before now even though the track at BV is still changing. The Danes used to take a complete squad plus youngsters who may well be the next batch of Danish Internationals to KL before or at the start of each season when the WC was held there. I believe that a reduced squad from the original named will be named in the next couple of days and if allowed I hope that they get to practice at BV early next week. British team members are still having to ride in different countries and in our lower leagues to make ends meet . I'm sure they would like the luxury of a governing body who would pay the bills for them to spend 2 weeks practising Like the rest of the counttiess taking part . but as it is ,the BSPA wont even properly cover their expenses . and unless some super business man from sherborne wants to stump up . Rosco will have to put up with full time league racers and part time team GB members

Woz01
The promoters of the SWC should stump up the readies for their comp! No, the riders are representing their country so the governing body should pay the riders. Of course the governing body will get awarded money from BSI. speedibee
The promoters of the SWC should stump up the readies for their comp! That is true . however they wont pay to hire the NSS for a fortnight so team GB can practise . any practise etc is the responsibilty of that countries governing body . Woz01
@AJROSCO @SpeedwayGB All members of the Team GB informed, really pleased with attitude of the riders especially the ones who have missed out, 👍🇬🇧🇬🇧 Â I guess we should be pleased we actually have riders to decide from this year. Someone have look and see if King or Bomber are smiling tonight. Should be a good indication.
no-brakes-uk
Unless rosco knows the team already I take it the whole squad have all had their GB kevlars made just incase ? Cause you can't knock them all up after practice I've seen a few GB suits on eBay in the past, Bridger, Kennett, etc with description saying "worn once for practice" I think they have a couple with no sponsors on too just in case.

Would not expect the riders to put aside a couple of weeks, unless it was the next batch of youngsters wanting to get into the GB team and was before the season started. But would have thought they could have managed a couple of days, hopefully they are able to do that early next week, and yes the British Team should pay the riders out of any money they get from BSI. weatherwatcher
It is the same with most sports in this country, must say though that the English Cricket team and Team GB Boxers have at last been able to get things right for them at long last. If they ever in think about wanting the British Speedway lads to do any good, then they should take a leaf out of those 2 sports books, get the lads together for at least2 weeks before the World Cup, there should be no ost of using the stadium for the practice sessions, I would think it would be a honour for them to use your track and hopefully bring a bit of silverware for the country, because for the past umpteen years we have been amoungst the also rans. Well time that they started to look at thing with some new ideas, promote the sport, this is something that is sadly laking. They should have adverts for the World Cup on all the main TV channels and in all the main newspapers to let paople know that we have a British Speedway team, and we also still have local speedway clubs. Get some big sponsers to pay for them to get the loads together and get the word out about Speeday not only about the British team but Speedway in general. I doubt very much if it gets more than a couple of lines in one of the local rags.

That's tame for it. Try looking at the Woofy thread, you might have your eyes opened.  Anyways, Shovlar, you're one the most controversial and blinkered posters on here so how you can even think about commenting like that is beyond me. We both love the same team, however our views are very, very different. jeeez, did I shag your girlfriend in a past life ?   *edit ...... sorry thought that was aimed at me  Would've been better to have deleted it, but apology accepted After a comment like that I wouldn't want to really upset you

But there's no need for abusive posts. I read some of the crap on the woofy thread and it was a bad case of bullying and in the end Gavan was rightly suspended. Certainly Robert72 doesn't know how to leave it but attacking posters in such a way is unacceptable.
