Tai is not worth the risk as a captain, maybe the BSPA will step in to make sure he isn't after Cardiff

I agree in that I don't think he is the right character to be captain. King has been a club captain and comes across as supportive and conciliatory. Would have King, Harris and Nicholls ahead of Woffinden for captain.

Tai Woffinden is named in the quoted post as a possible Belle Vue rider in 2017? If he does join theAces it will be in the wake of many all-time speedway dignitaries over the years, legends like Frank Varey, Eric Langton, Jack Parker, Max Grosskreutz, Ove Fundin, Peter Collins, Chris Morton etc.

None of them would have besmirched the sport in the way that Woffinden did at the British GP in Cardiff this weekend.

Chris Morton deliberately knocked Alan Grahame off and broke his leg. Do you think using a swear word is worse than that?

Was it on live TV ?

I very much doubt it, considering there was no live speedway on tv back in the glory days.

Is that relevant then?

It`s relevant to me that Woffinden swore on live TV - we had riders interviewed in their 2nd language on Eurosport tonight in the SEC- some after exclusions and not a swear word in sight. Why because they know how to handle themselves on live TV interviews.

I have heard plenty of riders swear on tv before.

Sure. Tai swearing on live tv was the issue, but I don't see the relevance regarding Chris Morton and how whether or not it was on live tv makes any difference,.

It was a simple comparison of what is worse. Swearing on live tv or deliberately knocking a rider off.

He has until 30 mins after practice finishes - at around 2.30 pm on the day of the meeting. however only 5 senior riders and a u21 can practice then.

I reckon the 6 practising will be Woffinden, Cook, Lambert, King, Worrall and Ellis. (The 5 in the team plus Worrall because he's the most local 6th member)
