spin king
I would say that Danny King has done his chance of making the final WTC team a world of good. I would say that Wuffy and Lambert are absolute certs, Danny King is more or less there with the last place between Craig Cook and Bomber.
New Science
I think tonight's aces performances advanced Harris' claims for a spot, certainly ahead of Nicholls and Worrall. Tai lambert cook Harris Ellis of you were naming the side today Imo. In out in out shake it all about
woodenspoon
Danny King is fine once the dirt line moves out near the fence, if it is an inside line only he is far less effective. What is the point of having a reserve when you can only use them due to rider injury. It was far better when you had virtual 5 men squads and could use your reserve whenever tactically wanted. Get rid of this stupid joker rule and go back to 5 rider squads.
pete cc
I'm afraid it may be time to move on from Bomber.
Woz01
Big Bomber fan but last night he was atrocious. In the mean time Danny King was passing quality riders. Kept changing my mind on this but King deserves the spot over Bomber after that. Woffinden Cook Lambert King Bates/Ellis
woodenspoon
I suppose Woffinden is a cert, as Rosco said as much last night. Might not get a warm reception from the Belle Vue fans. Lambert also should be in the team proper, our next generation of riders. King deserves the place because of his recent performances. Cook as it is his home track, only problem is he is bad at bike set ups. Reserve either of the Worrall twins, home track and if needed could get points. Though probably the position is superfluous. Bomber I am afraid has had one to many poor performances, I like him and we know he will give his all, but it is time for him to move over. mdmc82
think id put steve worral in before lambert and use lambert at reserve It's one thing coming out and racing against reserves & 2nd strings each week, it's another racing against rides like Hancock, Pedersen, Zmarzlik. It would be huge pressure. I think Lambert is the stronger rider at the moment & his meetings abroad also help. I would say that Danny King has done his chance of making the final WTC team a world of good. I would say that Wuffy and Lambert are absolute certs, Danny King is more or less there with the last place between Craig Cook and Bomber. I completely agree 👍🏻 Edited July 10, 2016 by mdmc82

Guest
Tai Woffinden is named in the quoted post as a possible Belle Vue rider in 2017? If he does join theAces it will be in the wake of many all-time speedway dignitaries over the years, legends like Frank Varey, Eric Langton, Jack Parker, Max Grosskreutz, Ove Fundin, Peter Collins, Chris Morton etc. None of them would have besmirched the sport in the way that Woffinden did at the British GP in Cardiff this weekend. I still think Bomber is well in the mix, Belle Vue is a track he will do well on and with a bit of support from a top British engine tuner the whole team might be on top notch equipment with a bit of luck.Do the reserves have to be u21? The Worralls aren't available at reserve if that's the case.Be interesting to hear the reception for Woofinden. I expect it will be fantastic but he didn't do himself any favours after the meeting last night. There's a rumour on the Belle Vue fans website that Belle Vue have pretty much done a deal with Woffinden for next season. Adams wasn't very happy at the so called 'tapping up' which explains why he had a cob on on Wednesday night with his off hand comments about the millions Belle Vue have (trust me they haven't?), he obviously thinks Belle Vue have waved the cheque book to get their man? Ovalman
Barry Briggs and Ivan Maurer were born in nz but rode for gb, so woffy born in England should, as number1 and world champ. Just needs to be less juvenile and layoff the energy drinks

Sorry about that completely forgot about under 21 when I posted, I will write 500 lines " The reserves for the WTC must be under 21" I would be very surprised if Woofy was at BV next year, he did not endear himself with the management at the PC meeting.
Mr Blobby
From what I heard last night Tai and Robert will be two and King another after his performance last night. The last place will be between cookie and bomber.

mdmc82
From what I heard last night Tai and Robert will be two and King another after his performance last night. The last place will be between cookie and bomber.I would agree with that if I was team manager. TAI: as much as I don't really like him as a person, it would be madness not to have him in the team. He's a great rider. KING: would be the 2nd rider on the team sheet for me. He was the stand out rider on the Belle Vue track in the British Final, he's in good league form and he was brilliant in a tough line up at Cardiff last night. Proven he can mix it with strong riders. LAMBERT He has a lot of talent esp when it comes to racing from behind and he seems to ride the track well. It's hard to know what he will do when up against a strong line up but he copes okay in the league so I would give him the chance. For me the last place would be between Harris & Cook. HARRIS: I won't read to much into the British Final as he tried a new engine for that meeting and it didn't work for him. However for Coventry he has been racing very well in the EL and had a good meeting when he got the set up in Prague. He always rides well in the World Cup. My only concern would be if he can adapt to the Belle Vue track as not his best so far. Harris is also the highest averaged Brit in the EL. COOK: should benefit from home advantage but when you look at his home form it's been very up and down. He can be a good gater but as we saw in final he does sometimes stick to one line so not a out and out racer. I would see how they both do it practice on the day and decide then. For me Nicholls is struggling at his home track and is not in the best form. He's one of my fave riders but i don't think he should be in the team just because he is willing to ride for team GB this year, where was he the last couple of years when we needed him. That leaves between Bates & Ellis for reserve. Tbf I think both would struggle against the top riders so would just be there to make up numbers. Fenway Bleachers
Bomber liable to get the nod on experience and sentiment. Rosco not likely to pick BV boys

His experimentation hardly ever works - and the result is what we all saw in the British Final. He should get something that works - and stick with it.
