So you go watch TeamGB at BV in the SWC, want to go watch Woffinden again cos you are impressed with his talent, oh dear no chance, unless you go to Poland or Sweden, bloody great for British Speedway..... NOT! Why is he not racing here you ask, it's too much trouble!

Whats happened to Danny King he was in everyone's team this time last week

They say a weeks a long time in politics !

Will hold my hand up to that one as I did after his Final win.

But have thought about it I would rather go with Bomber.

I don't blame him, he needed to cut down and most of the accidents that he'd had were on tracks in GB (his words), plus he probably gets paid several times as much by his overseas clubs. What has happened to cut short other careers could happen to him or anyone riding, so getting what you can is a sensible idea.

never in my team as he isn't good enough. One flash in the pan meeting on a wet track means nothing.

Woofy

Bomber

Cook

Nicholls

Lambert

four from those five with final selection based on form going into the meeting or maybe Our Team Manager will arrange a training session at Belle Vue to time the riders in practise races.

As we are going to come 4th. out of 4 does it really matter?

Might as well pick the Teletubbies.

Chris Harris`s performance last Saturday has given Alun Rossiter a bit of a nudge, but I would still like to think Woffinden and Lambert are certainties, after that its a two way choice between Cook, Nicholls, King and possibly Harris.

So you go to watch Ronaldo play for Portugal, or Near for Brazil or Bale for Wales. And then you are surprised you can't watch them play in their domestic league. Would you say Bale is therfore bad for welsh football? Or acknowledge that participating at the top level you can,as well as maximizing earnings, is what top sports people aspire too?

Not sure what age has to do with anyone scoring points for Team GB? Don't really understand the second point either - the World Cup final is this year and he's in poor form internationally.

For the majority of this season Danny King has been in poor form domestically, up until he won the British Final he wouldn’t have been close to most people’s thoughts. He then won a meeting featuring riders like Richard Hall and Ben Barker, I don’t think that alone merits a starting berth. If people are of the thought process that one meeting does merit a starting berth though then surely the British Final is cancelled out by a 3rd in the Grand Prix. I say that as someone who felt the reaction to King's inclusion based on one meeting was a bit daft, personally I don't think it should be judged base on that particular meeting.

I would consider age a factor when it comes to riders “moving over”, if Harris was being moved over to allow younger riders the chance to develop or learn about the world stage then great, but Harris moving over to allow riders like Nicholls or King, who even given current form aren’t as good as Harris just doesn’t make much sense to me.

Harris is basically being assessed based on his form in relativism to his ability, that form is still better than what either Nicholls or King, or any other Brit is able to manage for that matter.

What no Woffinden, get real, whatever anyone's feeling about Tai, not singing our national anthem, not riding in our British Final etc, he will be in our SWC team.

It would be stupid to do otherwise.

I would leave him out for the above and for the sake of the long term future of British speedway..

No British final = No team GB place (quality of the rider should not count for what's right)

OK what about basketball? Steven Adams shouldn't get picked for nz because he plays NBA and not in nz? our elite Olympic athletes shouldn't be selected if they compete predominantly in Europe?

Digs about gavansfamily is a new low even for you.

No, clearly quality of rider shouldn't be the basis for selection. ..

And your answer, robert, to this one is?

What would you know, you never rode a bike.
