Bagpuss
Just hope King, Cook and Lambert all come through in one piece (and all riders of course). Very strange timing for the event.

Just after Peterborough services head north on the A1 for 3/4 of a mile. Turn left (signed Chesterton/Alwalton) Turn left at T junction onto Oundle Road. At Roundabout take 3rd exit and follow the road round into the Showground. Edited July 22, 2016 by Shads
bigcatdiary
Made the decision last nite to go over to Peterborough, really looking forward to two days of speedway, not been to p,borough for years, any one out there pls help with directions, I'm travelling via A14, A605. Peterborough Speedway is located within the East of England Showground. From A1M South On approaching Peterborough, follow the signs Peterborough Services 1.5 miles followed by A1139 Peterborough/Wisbech/A605 Northampton/Oundle. Exit the A1M at junction 17 stay in the left hand lane and follow signs which say East of England Showground. Move into a further left hand lane sign posted Northampton/Oundle A605/Orton Centre/East of England Showground. This will bring you to a roundabout. Go around the roundabout and take third exit following signs Peterborough-Wisbech/Orton Centre. Stay in left hand lane, follow signs East of England Showground and take first exit on left this will take you up to a roundabout. Take the second exit off the roundabout onto a dual carriageway, the signs will show Orton Wistow/Showground and a yellow Speedway Stadium sign. Go across next roundabout. Turn left at the next roundabout signposted The North A1. The stadium will now be on your left hand side. Go to the next roundabout and take a left hand turn into the Showground entrance. Go across next roundabout and follow the perimeter track to Stadium parking. From A605 West As you approach Peterborough approximately 1 mile after the turning for Elton there is a speed camera located on the left hand side immediately after a small flyover. Shortly afterwards you will pass a service area on the right hand side. Go across the roundabout at the services and follow signs for Peterborough A605/The North/ London A1M. There is another roundabout again with signposts for Peterborough A1139/Wisbech A47. Go across the roundabout and take the second exit following signs for Peterborough/Wisbech/Orton Centre. Stay in left hand lane and follow the sign for East of England Showground and take first exit on left, this will take you up to a roundabout. Take the second exit off the roundabout onto a dual carriageway, signs will show Orton Wistow/Showground and a yellow Speedway Stadium sign. Go across next roundabout. Turn left at the next roundabout signposted The North A1. The stadium will now be on your left hand side. Go to the next roundabout and take a left hand turn into the Showground entrance. Go across next roundabout and follow the perimeter track to Stadium parking. From A47 West Leave the A47 by way of a left hand exit which is signposted London A1/Peterborough South A1139. Join the dual carriageway of the A1. Approximately three miles further on there is a sign for Alwalton/Business Park/ Showground/Chesterton. Stay in the left hand lane and take the left hand exit. The exit isn't very well signposted until you reach the junction. Continue through Alwalton village, The Cuckoo Pub is on the left hand side. Turn left at the T-junction where the signpost reads Speedway Stadium/ Peterborough Showground/Business Park. Turn right at the first roundabout into the Showground entrance. From A47 East Arriving on the A47 on the outskirts of Peterborough you will reach a roundabout. Join the dual carriageway A1139 (Fletton Parkway) and follow the signs for London A1/ Northampton A605. Stay on this road which will take you around Peterborough with the Cathedral and Football ground on your right hand side. Take a left hand exit signposted Bushfields/Hotel/Nene Park followed by Orton Centre/Showground/Lynchwood/Business Parks/Orton Southgate. This will take you up to a roundabout. Take the third exit off the roundabout and continue on the dual carriageway and follow signs for Speedway Stadium. Continue across next roundabout and then turn left at the roundabout signposted The North A1. The stadium will now be on your left hand side. Go to the next roundabout and take a left hand turn into the Showground entrance. Go across next roundabout and follow the perimeter track to Stadium parking.
