Didnt have any problem with a flask and sandwiches last year. Be madness if they stopped people doing the same this year.

what about a 2 foot square coolbox of beer - will they let that in?

BSPA have managed to cock up what was a good idea on paper.

Why seed Panthers to the final? Most panthers fans will now just turn up Sunday, as they have no interest in Saturday. If they were there Saturday most would have bought a weekend ticket hoping to see Panthers on both days.

Saturday will clash with event 1 of the speedway world cup. In addition to some fans choosing to watch world cup instead, will there be PL riders picked for their national team who therefore can't make the fours?

Individual final on the Sunday is before the fours final - so what happens if your top rider is injured in the individual?

Thought the individual is for riders who aren't riding in the final?

I'll still be attending both days, chance to see the leagues finest around my home track, why the hell not!

You're correct

I don't think it technically will clash as the SWC will be on at night, although I see they are putting live bands on at night

Given the debate over elligibilty for the pairs does anyone know the cut off date set for the fours?

Are there likely to be teams similarly impacted?

Are there any qualifying requirements for the riders for this one ?

Do they have to have completed a certain amount of matches for there team to be able to compete ?

If the past is anything to go on it promises to be monumentally boring!!

I agree ... the past was monumentally boring - much like those interminably stuck in it.

Here's to the future, soon to be the past.

The weekend is a brave attempt to try something different. I doubt it will pass without mishap and disappointment for some but that is no reason not to try at all.

Is food and drink allowed to be brought into the stadium? Sorry if a thread has been started but I cannot find one and so thought this would be the best place to put it.

Never been a problem at Somerset to take food and drink in... Although always good food on offer there

Unlike Sheffield where the stadium stewards empty your bag and throw your lunch in the bin, however much you protest.

Last time I went they never gave me the option to take it back to the car.

And due to that reason I for one will not give that promotion my money ever again.

Totally understand if people are taking in glass bottles of beer, as obviously could be dropped, broken or some nutter throws one.

Never had a problem at any other speedway track in the country other than Sheffield.

I noticed it does help if you leave a couple of choccy bars on the top

firstly you will not just be taking your money from Sheffield as it is a shared event

secondly Sheffield do not own the stadium and do not set the rules on taking food into the stadium

otherwise your statement was correct
