Steve Shovlar
£27.50 is indeed a good price for 2 meetings, Steve, but Danny said he needs a seat due to medical reasons so the west stand (first bend) is out for him. I think I paid 40 - 45 pound for the two meetings sat in the temporary east stand. Why not just bring a folding chair?
OveFundinFan
Would the Queen sit on a folding chair? I am taking the wife you know!
Star Lady
Why not just bring a folding chair? Are folding chairs allowed? Thats a serious question BTW, given the strict H & S
OveFundinFan
Your dead right star lady. My health and safety would be in danger if I suggested to the wife she was to sit in a folding chair for 3 hours. Ear drums would be the first to suffer. KIRKYLANE
As Rob says they are sold out, as is the back straight. I managed to get two tickets on the west stand for 27.50 for two meetings. A huge bargain in anyones book. If 70% are taking the opftion of the Friday as well, then the stadium will be three quarters full at least for the race off. West stand gives great views from the first bend. Great viewing from all areas in fact. 70 per cent sales for Friday is much better than race offs in the past.... Main reason is the friday/Saturday instead of thursday/Saturday. Pricing is all down to those running the world cup. They have rented the stadium for the world cup from belle Vue.
waiheke1
It's a world final, you expect to pay a premium for premium seats. Pricing seems well thought out on terms of maximising revenues and ensuring good crowds with affordable options as well. Not to say in don't sympathies with Danny Smith. But 70 quid for premium seats compares pretty well with other sports world final events.

Would probably be no more than 20 quid in Poland for the same event
SUPERACE
Seating in the temporary east stand are £45.00 total for both race off and final which is great value for 2 world class meetings.

Not sure you can use eastern European countries as a valid comparison given average wages in those countries.
mikebv
Are folding chairs allowed? Thats a serious question BTW, given the strict H & S A couple of people in the south stand had folding chairs at the Lakeside match... Although, if you don't pitch up at the front you will need to stand up to watch the racing as (unlike sadly at so many tracks) you will have a crowd in front of you...!
