bigeddiechek
Thought the track was excellent tonight ,and Berwick rode well for good result.Bewley is a star in the making deserved more for his riding ability looked well in control,Clegg was woeful for his expieriance ,Fisher was down on his usual Berwick standard.Need a couple of riders though. You didn't even get a point tonight! Â Bu^^er! I always seem to miss the good ones!
allthegearbutnaeidea
track was debatable, riders were struggling it seemed but tbf there was a rain forecast that never arrived Edited June 12, 2016 by allthegearbutnaeidea
topsoil
Given that it rained for a large part of Thursday night into Friday, then Friday night to Saturday lunchtime, then was overcast all Saturday afternoon, it would have taken a brave man to water the track at all. Plus drizzle was forecast for around start time. Given that, the track rode well. Especially when you see TJ's time for heat 13. You don't normally see a time that quick so late in the meeting. Fromafar
track was debatable, riders were struggling it seemed but tbf there was a rain forecast that never arrivedHave to disagree, the dirt was pretty consistent all the way across the track and the riders did not seem to be having much trouble times were fast.Would like to see it like that every week.IMO. Paulco
Glad I got off the train from Peterborough to witness the Monarchs get a right royal pumping . Berwick were certainly up for it and never had a failure , whereas the fading title holders had two riders scoring duck eggs . Young Bewley is a trier though , might look about 12 , but he never gives up in a race .
topsoil
And it was great to see all the riders going into the grandstand afterwards, where they were all instantly surrounded (even guest Simon Lambert) with fans wanting to meet them, talk and take photos. Good PR work and things like that live long in the memories of young ones.

Though for some reason Cook made a beeline for us , great fun though , more tracks should do that type of thing
alang
If we can sign a good reserve at number 6 with the potential to ride like Simon Lambert last night and then a decent replacement for Seb we can still do something bit special this year.So absolutely no pressure on Scott and the rest of the management team to get it right!!!
Shadders
Done that at Peterborough on Friday night too , great touch that.Berwick team did the same at Rye last week. Love the new touch at Rye House where the team walk around the track after the meeting to thank the fans. It all started at the start of the season when the parade truck couldn't get going and team manager Peter Schroeck just took em out on the walk instead. No idea if the truck has been repaired yet, but many of us prefer it as it is now. Edited June 12, 2016 by Shads

Remember that the kids are the next adults.Great PR and every track should do it.
screm
Not a classic but a welcome win, Lambert was excellent and hopefully we will see more of him in our colours in the next week or two until we find a replacement for Hummell. Apart from Masters, who was outstanding, Edinburgh were much of a muchness, I kept waiting for a fight back from mid meeting but it never got off the ground as Fisher & Wolbert didn't win enough races, Clegg was tailed off, impressed again with young Bewley who deserved more for his efforts. Good to see Jorgensen back to his best, hopefully we will get our new riders soon and keep this rich vein of form going.

Good PR work and things like that live long in the memories of young ones. Berwick have been pretty lucky over the years with riders who have been popular with the fans and that have been willing to take a bit of time to see the little ones after meetings. Â Special mention to Thomas Jorgensen and his Girlfriend Kate who went above and beyond for my little nephew last night. Top class.

Mr Blobby
Personally thought the track wasn't as good as I've seen it in our last few visits. Looked like a lot of guys were struggling going into the corners especially the 3rd bend. Some looked like they were struggling to turn at times going in and picking up at times when they weren't expecting it.

Mr Blobby
One of Fisher's poorer Berwick meetings  Agreed seems to be lacking some speed on every track at the moment.
