mikebaker
So, who and when will a replacement be announced by Havelockl and co. Up to 7.59 available, for a replacement for Bukhave. Or if 2 changes were made, Bukhave and Nielsen, then up to 12.12. If club asset Rob Branford on 3.40 was to partner Payne at reserve. Then up to 8.72 for an outright number 1 for the under performing Bjerre. Have no idea who Havelock has in mind. He stated on local radio last Wednesday, that he was in discussion with 2 overseas riders, but would not divulge names, until an agreement was made. Given Havelock's track record on signing's since 2009, don't expect any one special. After all what homework was carried out on Bukhave, as his credentials back in Denmark are nothing to write home about.

And if you're wanting rid of Nielsen, that seems silly, as far as I can tell he's been good for you this season? Although I may be wrong Edited June 7, 2016 by Dandelion

Yes maybe we should have gone for two 6 pointer at the start of the season rather than a 7 & 4.38, but it did not happen so we have to move on. Nielsen has moved his average up from 4.38 to 4.53 this season so I would not get rid of him. Branford had a good meeting as a guest for us last week and we should bring him back into the fold at some time. One meeting does not prove he is better than Nielsen. He is below Ben Morely in the Rye House N L averages would you want him back if he was available to replace Nielsen. Jonas's brother would be a good bet I think. He did not have a good Silver Helmet meeting at our track last year but he was on borrowed machinery. He is having a good season in Europe this year so worth a try. Will come in on a 7 I believe so we would only have 0.59 left.
boz
Mikkel would be my preferred choice. Good form it seems this season on continent and would become an asset. Think Nielsen has done ok for us - although his best meetings seem to be away.

KNEW someone would say that You want Neilson back , be our guest. An awful signing , if you at Newcastle think so highly of him why did you let him go ? I am 1 Newcastle fan, just because I rate him, doesn't mean everyone else does too, plus I think we let him go because we wanted Rose, plus the 3.00 so Nielsen would be in the main body and he's not a main body rider at all Mikkel would be my preferred choice. Good form it seems this season on continent and would become an asset. Think Nielsen has done ok for us - although his best meetings seem to be away. Nowt wrong with that As long as he's scoring good away and Payne and Nielsen is scoring ok at home, which he seems to be doing, kinda, don't see the problem Edited June 7, 2016 by Dandelion

Don't want to get into a dispute over a topic which we have both got differing opinions on, which have been discussed since the start of the season on Bears Talk. The main problem is the signing of Bukhave in the first place. Think we both agree, that Havelock has dropped one almighty clanger in signing him. Panic and despair imo. Simmo it was you who brought up the topic of getting rid of Nielsen in a thread that is titled "who will replace Jacob Bukhave" not me. So i could not let it go with out a response. Yes everyone agrees Bukhave was a mistake (even Havvey I would think) but like many other clubs this year we have been caught by the new rules about getting rid of them. He took a risk with Jonas B Anderson last year and it has paid off. Lets hope that the replacement if and when it happens works out this time. foamfence
It shouldn't be Mikkel Andersson as it was written ages ago that he is completing work training. It doesn't matter who it is as Redcar are out of both cup competitions and practically bottom of the league, It's actually hard to think of anyone with a racing licence who would do a worse job than Bukhave, whoever it is will have to be cheap though. It was written months ago maybe he is available now for the rest of the season if he is either finished or has a break from his training. Still very early days in the league would not write any team off getting up to 6th place and the play offs. That includes Redcar with the correct signing/s. Do you know the pay rates being offered then??? In answer to your comment Bukhave's average (including B P) to 28th May is 2.35 in qualifying matches & there are 5 riders below him in the Premier league. Etheridge, Phillips, Ritchings, Bewley & Perks. Edited June 7, 2016 by Sly Fox

Do you know the pay rates being offered then??? No but I know that you are deluded if you think they can mount any sort of serious challenge. It's the same year after year, the teams that actually compete, sign most of the riders with potential improvement and kick out anyone who doesn't measure up. Brian said that there were no riders willing to come but plenty of other sides seem to find them.

Your clutching at straws if your trying to use that to discredit Rob, theres .2 difference and we all know Ben is very good around Rye , his PL average for the season is higher than Lykke.Robs away average is better and that includes an exclusion, but as i said hardly relevant. smod
He is listed in Bears' regular line-up, logged with referee and SCB/BSPA for tomorrow night. This is all just forum-talk.
boz
Have to admit thought the change would have been made by now - we have been waiting for Bukhave to hit the required matches so have had plenty of time to get something lined up.
iand
How many matches are required to gain an average so that you can rid of a assessed rider?
