Panthers89
How long do you wait though? 2 points from a HL is appalling and tbh is his bikes being slow an excuse for someone of the calibre of NBJ? He's fine in Denmark Its his first meeting back in the UK for a month, people forgot how at the start of the season when we were struggling it was just him and ully scoring??????

I'm sure he'll be ok , just needs to get is engine sorted a.s.a.p. . No point even talking of making a hasty change. Can you imagine if Panthers released him just how many teams would be busting a gut to sign him. We know what he's capable of , just give him the chance . I don't it will be long before he's back in the groove.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Some on here would make a change mid meeting if a rider missed the start in one ride if it was allowed!

Crump99
Track is a gaters Paradise again!..no home track advantage. I must have been at a different meeting, It was well prepared and if you missed the start early doors you got filled in with wet shale for your troubles. I'd rather it be like that than slick from the off. If it was like that on a regular basis then we'd get used to it.
maneacat
As many have reviewed the meeting from Panthers riders perspective I will do so from a Tigers one (even though they are obviously not my Club). They provided tough opposition as expected and Howarth did exactly what a Guest should do with 10+1 from 5 rides. As for the Tigers themselves their two reserves rode well (better than I expected if I am honest) and a combined score of 11+1 is a cceptable on an away track for two 3+? riders. Worrall also played his part no problem there BUT a number one and former Panther (an Elite League rider to) scoring 4+1 is nowhere near good enough. Finally Aaron Summers a rider I have always liked on a near 9 average scoring 5+1 did not trouble us in the way I would have expected. Unfortunately we did not get to see Nike Lunna due to injury but as his R/R rides produced 5 points I don't believe his presence would have changed the result. Usually when this happens to Lawson it's been machinery issues. By and large he's consistant. But looks like a fair appraisal.
New era Panthers
Usually when this happens to Lawson it's been machinery issues. By and large he's consistant. But looks like a fair appraisal. The marker was set in heat 1 when Cookie made him go right out to the boards lap1 bends 1 and2 , I believe if he had got past and joined Howarth up front for an opening heat 5-1 it might have inspired him on and he could well have had double figure score . Have say it Cookie done a job on him from the start. Keeping Lawson behind him cost him a maximum though.
Django
No love lost between those 2 and it shows at times but 9 times out of 10 Cookie comes out on top when it matters

At one time with Denham it was everything Lawson and then everything Cookie for some reason. Must have been a fallout along the way.

scoobydoo
Lawson broke down when second once sometimes these small things then can look as if a rider has had a bad night , apart from one ride against the disappointing NBJ his other rides were against the in form on the night Cook & Bjerre so not that bad .

Indeed, it was almost as good as it once was, minus any high level star quality of course.

Crump99
Cook is head and shoulders above the rest at this level imo I know, hence the carefully inserted "high level" which PL isn't. And I know that the current EL isn't any better before anyone gets excited and wishes to point that out.
